Ben Carey is an Australian guitarist, who played with band such as Savage Garden, Tal Bachman, Lifehouse and now the country-inspired Elvis Monroe with members from bands such as Matchbox Twenty.
He travelled the world with Savage Garden on their Affirmation tour in 1999/2000, which took them all over the world. A hit album containing songs like: "I Knew I Loved You", "Affirmation", and "Crash & Burn".
For a short period of time he later played in the band Tal Bachman, and is featuring in the video for the hit single "She's So High".
In 2004 he joined Lifehouse after the departure of Sean Woolstenhulme, brother to the drummer Rick Woolstenhulme, Jr. In 2009 Lifehouse announced that Ben was now seen as an official member of the band, stating he was "family to us". He then came to feature in the bands videos "Broken", directed by Kiefer Sutherland, "Halfway Gone", "All In" and "In Between The Raindrops" in 2012. In December 2014 the band announced that Ben would leave the band to focus on other projects such as his band Elvis Monroe.
So far Elvis Monroe has released the single "Rebel".
