Alphonse Mephisto

Dr. Alphonse Mephisto is a fictional character in the animated television series South Park and is voiced by Trey Parker. He is the town's mad scientist, he played a more significant role however in earlier episodes, in particular series one. He is rather obviously based upon Marlon Brando's role in The Island of Dr. Moreau.

Creations

He is a stereotypical mad scientist who comes up with all sorts of wacky gizmos.

Kevin

"That little monkey guy"

Kevin is "that little monkey guy" who follows Mephisto around. He wears the same shirt and was an attempt to make a famous pop star that failed. He goes with Mephisto everywhere he goes and has no lines.

Four assed Monkey

His main creations are four assed animals, in particular his evil looking four assed monkey. Mephisto believes it is for the good of the Earth.

Stan Clone

While looking for assistance on cross breeding a pig and elephant Mephisto took a swab of Stan's DNA when he was turned around. Mephisto then grew a giant clone which turned out deformed and rampaged throughout the town. It was finally stopped by Stan's brutal sister Shelley who smashed it into the wall.

Officer Barbrady encounters the feathery foes

While trying to prevent world hunger Mephisto grew clones of turkeys. The turkeys were rather pissed off and escaped then rampaging throughout the town killing humans. They were all shot though in the end. As well as appearing in the Thanksgiving special the turkeys were on the first level of the video game for the series in which Mephisto was an unlockable player on head to head mode.

Episodes in which Mephisto is prominent

• An Elephant Makes Love to a Pig- Mephisto takes a swab of Stan's DNA and makes a clone of him that rampages throughout the town.

• Starvin' Marvin- Mephisto's pissed off turkey clones escape and kill anything in their path.

• Cartman's Mom is a Dirty Slut (Part One)- Mephisto is paid to a DNA test on the men in South Park to work out who Cartman's father is. At the end, the episode cuts to a cliffhanger.

• Cartman's Mom is Still a Dirty Slut (Part Two)- As Mephisto is about to reveal Cartman's father he is shot. At the end of the episode he is revived and tells Cartman who his father is. His father turns out to be Cartman's mother; she is a hermaphrodite and got a woman pregnant. After this revelation, Cartman dosen't care who his mother is.

• Spontaneous Combustion- Tries to win a nobel prize award for his seven assed turtle.

• Cartman joins NAMBLA- Mephisto tells Cartman to join NAMBLA but Cartman goes to the wrong one.

Mephisto dosen't have a role it would seem in South Park anymore. All the scientific work is carried out by Randy Marsh now. Mephisto, though is still featured in the background of the title sequence at the crowd scene and had a cameo in the seventh season's christmas special. Mephisto had no lines though.
