K. V. Vijayendra Prasad (born Koduri Venkata Vijayendra Prasad) is an Indian film screen writer, and director known for his works in Telugu cinema and Bollywood. In 2011, he directed Rajanna which won the Nandi Award for Best Feature Film.[1]
Since 1988, he was the screen writer for more than twenty five films, most of which turned out to be block busters.[2][3][4] His recent works include Baahubali: The Beginning, and Bajrangi Bhaijaan which became biggest blockbusters of the year, for which Prasad won the Filmfare Award for Best Story.[5][6][7][8]
Personal life
Prasad is the father of film maker S. S. Rajamouli and uncle to music composers M. M. Keeravani, M.M. Srilekha, Kalyani Malik, and writer S.S. Kanchi.
