Victor Boiko (Template:Lang-uk) is a Ukrainian politician, former Minister of Environmental Protection of Ukraine and a former Deputy Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food (Ukraine).
Biography
Victor Boiko born on July 6, 1961, Krasnohirka Holovanivsk Raion - Ukrainian politician, deputy of the Kyiv City Council.
Candidate of science in Public Administration (2004); member of the People's Party political executive committee.
Born in a family of farmers; wife Iryna Mykolayivna(1961); daughters Maryna (1986), Tetiana (1989).
Education: Kirovohrad College of Agricultural Mechanization (1980); Ukrainian Agricultural Academy (1985), an electrical engineer; National Academy of State Administration of the President of Ukraine (2004), Master of State Administration. March 2006 nominee for people’s deputy of Ukraine of Lytvyn People's Bloc, № 17 in the list. During the election period: people's deputy of Ukraine, People’s Party (Ukraine) member. People's deputy of Ukraine of the 4th convocation from April 2002 to April 2006, voting district № 102, Kirovohrad region, nominated by the Bloc «For United Ukraine». Over 16.14%, 18 rivals. During the election period, chairman of NJSC «Ukragroleasing» adviser, Agrarian Party of Ukraine member. Faction «United Ukraine» member (May - July 2002), member of «People's Choice» group (July 2002 - April 2004), authorized representative of «Center» group (April - June 2004), member of People’s Agrarian Party of Ukraine faction (June 2004 - March 2005), member of People’s Party faction (March 2005). Achievements:
Victor Boiko earned his fortune before he started to be engaged in political activities. As chairman of the State Committee of Ukraine for State Material Reserve:
- after the appointment has initiated a comprehensive inspection of the State Committee of Ukraine for State Material Reserve by authorities of controlling and auditing service, SSU, MIA, according to the results of which arrears in the amount of 3.5 bln. UAH were found, and further investigation showed 7 bln. UAH;
- purchase of grain crops from farmers and selling it abroad, opening all over Ukraine more than 4 thousand special stores for low-income families, where you could buy sugar and flour for the lowest prices,
- holding of tenders for the purchase of pork meat from people on favorable prices for its sale abroad; sale abroad about 400 thousand tons of grain harvest of 2003-2004 to Algeria and Iran.
As Minister of Environmental Protection of Ukraine:
- implementation of a program on protected areas expand to 11% of the country territory;
- implementation of program on recycling of wastes and enhancement of landfill status in Ukraine;
- implementation of program on establishing protection zones for objects of nature reserve fund territories.
