Articles
New England Quarter
I hope to start an article on the new development next to Brighton station, now that it appears to be near completion. I took a number of photos over the weekend, and there seems to be plenty of source material to work from. Any help, especially on the history of the site and its previous uses, would be appreciated - my memories on this are getting vague! Hassocks5489 08:46, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
- I have started writing this, and will be uploading pix soon. Current progress is at User:Hassocks5489/Concessions. Hassocks5489 09:23, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
- New England Quarter "first draft" now completed. One of today's "Did You Know?" fact snippets is about NEQ, and appears on the Main Page at the moment; catch it while you can! Hassocks5489 19:44, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
Schools
An article on Blatchington Mill Secondary Schoool and 6th Form Centre would be nice. A few famous ex-pupils, i.e. Jordan aka Katie Price expelled in year 9. http://www.blatchingtonmill.org.uk/ I am 6th form vice president atm. --Ace Face 12:12, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
- Done, well started may be a better description! Paste 20:24, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
Churches
Articles on the famous churches (All Saints, Hove: St. Barnabas, Hove: St. Andrew's, Hove: St. Peter's, Brighton: St. Paul's, Brighton: St. Bartholomew's, Brighton: St. Michael's, Brighton: St. Nicholas, Brighton: etc.)--Vox Humana 8' 18:31, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
- I have recent photos (ready for uploading) of St Bartholomew's and St Nicholas. I can try to get to some of the others if we ever get a Saturday with decent weather! Hassocks5489 13:31, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for that, Matt. Could someone please construct at least a few stubs about these churches? My only sources of info are two in-copyright books, so I'd get done for copyvio if I wrote up what's in them.--Vox Humana 8' 15:18, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
- Only if you copy what's in them. If you can understand the basic facts and write new prose around them – particularly to make them link up with other available articles here – it's not a breach of copyright, it's just research :-) – Kieran T (talk) 15:39, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
- OK, I'll have a go in the new year. St Bartholomew's might be the easiest one to begin with. For the RC churches, the A&B Directory and A&B News might have some useful snippets ... I'll have a look. Incidentally, I was about to take St Peter's on Saturday (in the morning, before the incredibly heavy rainstorm), but the battery on my camera ran out just as I pressed the button! :{ --Hassocks5489 18:42, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
- I have added 10 pics of St. Peter's to User:Vox Humana 8'/Photos. More to come soon. --Vox Humana 8' 13:42, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
- Loads of Brighton churches now on Vox Humana 8/Churches. Feel free to use any or all of them.--Vox Humana 8' 14:18, 17 February 2007 (UTC) (Edit by Hassocks5489 19:42, 17 February 2007 (UTC): I have corrected the link above.)

UPDATE!!! - Major revision to Church of St. Peter, Brighton - new photo gallery using the ten I'd already posted, new infobox with far more details, stuff on the cultural life of the church, etc.--Vox Humana 8' 23:19, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
- I now have some relevant books to hand, so I hope to start writing some articles (stubs, at least) on the churches mentioned above quite soon. Hassocks5489 22:36, 26 February 2007 (UTC) -
St Bartholomew's article nearly finished (on my userpage sub-page.) Hassocks5489 14:01, 28 February 2007 (UTC)- St. Bartholomew's Church, Brighton done - as far as I can take it at the moment. Please feel free to add more! Hassocks5489 12:58, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
- St Paul's is now underway on my userpage sub-page. Hassocks5489 13:28, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
- I have made a few additions to this.--Vox Humana 8' 22:45, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- That's cool; please continue where you can. I am writing this during my lunch breaks at the moment, so progress could prove to be slow! When I've written as much as I can, perhaps you could have a quick look before I transfer it to "article space". Cheers, Hassocks5489 22:51, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- I have made some revisions to the St. Bart's article. Go and see what I've done.--Vox Humana 8' 13:26, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

- St. Nicholas completed just now. A proposed table of all churches in the city is here - not yet migrated into Churches of Brighton (I'll try to take some more pix soon). Hassocks5489 19:38, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
Images
A better image is needed for Peter Ward (English footballer). One from his playing days in a Brighton kit would be best.
