Right after high school Buckley moved to Philadelphia to be closer to her grandparents. She worked for some very well-known restaurants such as the Moshulu, a 19th Century ship which was, and is docked on the Delaware River, and has been a restaurant for four decades; Old Original Bookbinders and City Tavern, a tavern that existed since the late 18th Century. Buckley became interested in cooking professionally, and she worked with a number of chefs in Philadelphia before returning home to Kansas City to study with Peter Inauen and Felix Sturmer at the Westin Crown Center Hotel. |
