Tribhuvan Chandra College, Tri Chandra College is the oldest institute of higher learning in Nepal. It was founded by Chandra Shamsher Jang Bahadur Rana and is currently affiliated under Tribhuvan University.

Some of the well known graduates of the college are Laxmi Prasad Devkota, Ram Raj Pant, Rishikesh Shaha, Narayan Gopal, Kul Gautam, Nabindra Raj Joshi, Girija Prasad Koirala, Gagan Thapa. Tri Chandra college offeres course related to Science and Humanities stream. In science it runs Bsc and Msc programs and in Humanities it has BA and MA programs.
