Sudsakorn (Thai: สุดสาคร; rtgs: Sutsakhon) is a fictional character in Sunthorn Phu's story of Phra Aphai Mani, written in Thailand during the Rattanakosin period. Sudsakorn, the son of Phra Aphaimani and a mermaid, was born at Ko Kaeo Pisadan without ever having seen his father. His adventure begins after he grows up and begins to seek his father.

Historical

At Magical island , the mermaid mad Pra aphai mani gave birth to the boy called Sud Sa korn ,Raised and taken care from the hermit whom helped his parents from the phee ser sa mut , the boy wants to see his dad so then he begged

the hermit to teach him martials in order to protect himself from the dangers that would happen along middle of the journey to find his dad. The hermit also gave Sud sa korn a gift ,special gift, it was Mar Nin Mang Korn a flying horse alike creature ,to make to journey even shorter and Sud sa korn can see his dad sooner. After Sud sa korn and Mar Nin Mang Korn left the magical island they were lured and lost into the haunt island by ghosts , Sud sa korn and Mar Nin Mang Korn fought the their best for several hours and escape the threats. Later on, in their journey they found the nudist and he stole Mar Nin Mang Korn and attempted to kill Sud sa korn by push him over the cliff but unexpectedly Sud sa korn survived the fall and he wanted his magical creature back so he hunted the nudist and fight to get his creature back , it was successfully done and from their fighting, it called the attention out of the king and making the king wanted to adopt Sud sa korn , time passes and Sud sa korn has grown bigger and stronger also his will the find his dad. He went out and continue finding his dad ,but now Sud sa korn has brothers. It wouldn’t be nice without any help from them. So they took ships and follow Sud sa korn into the ocean. In middle of the second journey , suddenly a big group of giant butterflies attacked them and took Sud sa korn’s brothers to the island. Sud sa korn followed the butterflies to the island and killed all the butterflies and rescued his brothers and finally met his dad on the island.
