Christopher Martin is the brother of trumpeter Michael Martin, who was appointed to the trumpet section of the Boston Symphony Orchestra in 2010.

Christopher Martin is an American trumpet player who presently holds The Adolph Herseth Principal Trumpet Chair of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. He previously performed with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (where he was principal trumpet) and the Philadelphia Orchestra. [1] He was appointed to his current post in 2005 by then-music director of the CSO, Daniel Barenboim.[2] During his time in Chicago, Martin has given the world premiers of many trumpet concerti.[3]
