On March 18th, you moved my draft article "IBM System/360 Model 25" to "360 Model 25". Can you please explain what was the reason? |

The existing articles about other /360 models are all titled "IBM System/360 Model nn" (check the articles for models 30, 44, 50, and 67), so I think this should be kept as "IBM System/360 Model 25" for consistency. |

Help on an article
Hey there. I see you have declined my article. I am new to wikipedia and I just referenced the other articles and submitted mine. I would be thankful if you could just help me out on how to improve my article. Draft: Umer Jubapu. He is the only person in Bhatkal who is a singer and a dancer together and he is very famous for his talent specially around the middle east. Please help me out. Thank you.

Matthew, I come to you for assistance because you seem incredibly knowledgeable and like to help other people who contribute. I have created a page John M. Dougan that was nominated for deletion. The person who nominated refuses to provide clarification on why, other than saying there appears to be a conflict of interest. Of course, there is none. I write about subjects that interest me and this is one of the subjects that interest me. He also claims the sources aren't good enough. I am using some of the largest newspapers in the country! I don't get it and I am just looking to make this article better. I know it may not be your area, but Wikipedia is created by people with interests in certain topics. I grew up in Russia and love people that fight against the government, so this man is very interesting to me. I beg you to check out the page and the talk page and give me guidance since this other person who is marking my items for deletion refuses to do so. Point no 1: you have suggested to get references from neutral party
my response: In the reference section I have highlighted Khaleej times( News paper of UAE) carrying out an article and covering him as a speaker addressing a gathering of participants, the scanned copies of these originals are available with me and I can forward to your mail if you need them, these are three in number on the date I have mentioned. Khaleej times does not have a weblink of these as these are old and have shared with me the scanned original page
Point no 2: Zuhoori name
in these references of above it is titled as shihabdeen as per his original name, you will not find zuhoori, if this is seen as an issue then I can edit the title of his page as per his original name hypen Madhanisha zuhoori

Thank you for taking your time to comment on my proposed article. I have added an additional reference and I have also added to the article that this disaster was the impetus to establish the first hospital in Chester, Pennsylvania. I am now citing 3 references: newspaper articles from 1882, 1912 and 1963.
I appreciate your comments and your help. Having just retired last year as a senior professional in my field, it is very humbling to be a newcomer to Wikipedia trying to get my first article published.

Hi Matthew, Thank you for taking the time to review the page I submitted for GYMGUYZ. This is my first time writing a page for Wikipedia and obviously, I want to do the best job possible when getting this information onto the site. That being said, I was wondering if you can provide some more direct suggestions on how to get this page up and running. Given the lack of unbiased/neutral information available on GYMGUYZ on the internet, finding sources is proving to be a little bit difficult. What can we do to get this page approved using the sources that we have? Please advise when you can, thank you!
- Hello @Rgenhofer:, the main response is that if there's a "lack of coverage" of Gymguyz by neutral, unbiased commentators in news media, business journals, academia, etc. it might not yet qualify for a Wikipedia article. Wikipedia doesn't qualify people/things/organizations based on whether we personally think they're important or not, but rather based on the amount of outside commentary about them. If Gymguyz gets coverage in several major newspapers, Fortune magazine, various physical fitness mags or business journals, it would totally qualify. In the short term though, it looks like most of the coverage you've included is interviews with the founder (can be used to substantiate his own comments but don't count as outside analysis), business listings (listings, ratings, franchise profiles etc. do not count if they don't have expert, vetted analysis included, we're not a directory), and the company's own materials and press releases. Again I strongly advise you look at WP:Notability (businesses) to see the qualifications; fundamentally, we don't publish articles to help publicize and get more people talking about a subject, we publish what's already being said about the subject in a short, summarized digest form. Telling me to refer to the production company or management has nothing to do with qualifying your draft to be published. Please read WP:Notability (music) which explicitly explains the guidelines for what a music article must include. After you read it, feel free to post back right here and ask any follow-up questions, but please don't just guess that you think that I think is wrong and then argue about it, because you're guessing completely different things. Please read the pink Decline box and read the linked guideline there and it will become much clearer. Then after that feel free to post here with any questions.
