Richard Jones is a British photojournalist based in Hong Kong. He was brought up near Cardiff, South Wales, UK and now lives in Hong Kong and Tokyo. He is the founder of Sinopix Photo Agency.[1]
Jones was nominated and "Highly Commended" in the Foreign Reporter of the Year category at the UK Press Awards for 2010.
He received world attention when wife of Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe, Grace Mugabe and her bodyguard assaulted him in Hong Kong while he was working for the Sunday Times newspaper.[2][3]
Jones’ work related to China’s One-Child Policy has won numerous Human Rights Press Awards[4] and a National Press Photographers Association Award.[5]
