AfD discussion
Hey. Thanks for your support on my recent AfDs. I just wanted to let you know that typically, AfDs are not considered a vote, and vote-like comments are somewhat discouraged. Generally, the expectation is that anyone participating will try to add something to the conversation, or at least write a quick couple of words explaining their position. Tagging of Oshum
Articles about mythological figures, or gods, or fictional characters, are not suitable to be tagged under WP:CSD#A7. However, in this case the article was a blatant copyright infringement, and i have deleted it as such. I am merely giving you this heads up in hopes it will aid your future application of speedy deletion tags. Admins rely on taggers to be as accurate as possible. Thanks for helping to improve Wikipedia. DES (talk) 17:28, 27 March 2016 (UTC)
Reverting & See also section
Hi Sportsfan, I noticed that you reverted an edit without explaining why. Such an explanation (unless it's obvious vandalism) is important, see WP:REVEXP.
As for your edit itself, it seems a bit arbitrary to me to highlight one particular (regional) competition from the previous season. That's why I removed it earlier. I don't have a problem with it though, and I'm fine with leaving it there if you think it's useful. Thanks, Gap9551 (talk) 00:34, 6 April 2016 (UTC)
- I am okay with other events being added as well, I just added the Pan Am Games, because it was the games I was working at that time. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 01:08, 6 April 2016 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for April 7
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Venues of the 2018 Commonwealth Games, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Gold Coast (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Canada at the 2016 Summer Olympics – Swimming
Hi Sportsfan 1234,
I have a question. Why do these swimmers arranged according to the particular pool event, and not in alphabetical order? Btw, I placed Richard Weinberger at the bottom of the table after the relays to lessen confusion, just as what I had done before for the U.S. team. Raymarcbadz (talk) 02:55, 8 April 2016 (UTC)
- The swimming article is sorted by event, not by athlete, so for nation pages that should be respected. I agree the open water swim should be at the end of the table (just like the medal table on the swimming page) Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 03:05, 8 April 2016 (UTC)
WP:Vandalism
Hi just a reminder that WP:Vandalism :is any addition, removal, or change of content, in a deliberate attempt to damage Wikipedia". Contesting a speedy deletion will generally not be vandalism unless the page is vandalism itself (e.g. a hoax) and the contestor knows that. This will generally be the case even for people who can't contest speedy deletions (like page creators or banned users) unless it's clear the act of contesting was a delibrate attempt of damage (which it often won't be). If you don't have reasons to be sure something is vandalism, it should not be described as such. Nil Einne (talk) 15:45, 11 April 2016 (UTC)
2018 olympic curlling
pages look really good. I am puzzled by the mixed doubles table though. My understanding from the rules was that it is the host and seven nations from ranking points. Dosen't matter really, just curious.18abruce (talk) 21:04, 11 April 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks! I put all the countries competing on the table, I suppose we can remove them, but I think a full complete picture is better. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 21:09, 11 April 2016 (UTC)
- Well since this is the first time for this event we shouldn't be over confident on exactly how it is going to work I suppose. Seems fine how it is for now as far as I am concerned. The WCF says it will publish a ranking list following the championship so we could modify it then if we want.18abruce (talk) 21:59, 11 April 2016 (UTC)
Sabotaging other users' edits
Hi Sportsfan 1234. I have to tell you something seriously about my experience with WikiProject Olympics. I’m contributing to Wikipedia for four years, quite longer than you, and I never did vandalism of any kind. I have worked so hard to revamp most of the NOC pages from the previous editions of the Olympic Games, especially when adding the tables and putting some styles on them. And you did nothing but to sabotage the edits that most people have done over the years and trying to let them down by constantly reverting them and authorizing the page that has not been created by yourself. Sometimes, we have to correct them so that these won't happen for future edits. I don't even understand about your intention to follow Canada's style layout that you made to other NOCs, especially on Aruba, Paraguay, and now you include my homeland Philippines and Cambodia (aren't these created by yours truly). Isn't geographically fair for everyone to edit and help out build the pages with respect? Haven't you studied and read the pages that we edited from the previous editions? Are you trying to prove us wrong? To be honest, you're getting biased towards your users, and you're using your pride to ditch and discriminate other user's edits. Neither you nor I administer the WP:OLYMOSNAT page, but you have no right to judge what others have been edited, especially on the styling and arrangement of tables. You seem to confuse vandalism, revert, and disagreement. Like what TheGreenGiant23 said, the next time you'll try to bully or insult me again, I will take care of you, and end once and for good this childish stupid war you’ll try to start with me and other users. Changing FlagIOCathlete to FlagIOCmedalist
Maybe I missed the RfC that said we must change FlagIOCathlete to FlagIOCmedalist. The FlagIOCmedalist is a lot of bloat because it adds the ridiculous country code when you already have the full name. A waste of bandwidth, and it's tougher to fit in tables. Please point me to where we "must" now use FlagIOCmedalist or please stop changing the template. Thanks. Fyunck(click) (talk) 06:36, 23 April 2016 (UTC)
- I don't think there is one. The medalist template is used for winners of medals, hence why I changed them to that. Also this would create consistency across all sports. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 16:04, 23 April 2016 (UTC)
- When I read the templates, neither of them say that. But that doubling up thing has to go. It actually looks silly. Fyunck(click) (talk) 19:38, 23 April 2016 (UTC)
- What else would it be used for ?? The IOC code is there because some codes are different than the first three letters of a country (such as ISV for the Virgin Islands). I am neutral on this. Part of me whats it kept status quo, but at the same time what you are saying makes sense. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 21:19, 23 April 2016 (UTC)
- And if all you have is the code, then the mouseover tells us the country. But if we have the full name of the country spelled out the country code is useless. It's an article on Olympic winners not a lesson on country coding. The reason we have these country codes was not just to have lovely coding for everyone to look at. It was to make it much shorter when we wrote about the country... we wouldn't have to keep writing "The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland" we could simply use UK. But to use them both is mind boggling to me and rather ugly. Fyunck(click) (talk) 22:03, 23 April 2016 (UTC)
- Like I said, I wouldn't object to change if there is a majority who agrees. I suggest posting on the Olympics WP talk page and then tagging a couple users to get a discussion going. Do you know how to remove the IOC code from the template? Thought I do object to just the code remaining. The country's name should be shown in its entirety. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 00:47, 24 April 2016 (UTC)
- My objection is only towards adding both elements. On the Olympic articles I don't really have care one way or the other as to mouseover-code or full country name. Fyunck(click) (talk) 05:40, 24 April 2016 (UTC)

Amazing Race formatting
Hello Sportsfan 1234, I reverted the TAR 28 page to a clean plot format without having talk page consensus. ApprenticeFan work 23:31, 24 April 2016 (UTC)
- I do not understand what you are trying to convey to me? I reverted your edits because there are grammatical errors. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 23:36, 24 April 2016 (UTC)
- Why?! Why did you fucked me?! It was Gamerfan09 (talk · contribs) put the goddamn summary with unnecessary bulleting format that may not meet with WP:PLOT policy. Why would you notify him? I'm so shit with this insane grammatical errors in all TAR pages. Fuck and so insane with this huge bit of grammatical English crap. For me, I am not a native English speaker as its my second language. ApprenticeFan work 23:42, 24 April 2016 (UTC)
- Pardon your language please. If it doesn't mean the formatting, then fix it. I rather have proper written work with poor formatting than the opposite. What do you mean I have notified this user? Can you please elaborate on this? If you are not a native English native speaker, then perhaps you can edit the Wikipedia of your first language. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 23:57, 24 April 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you for restoring my edit Sportsfan! Old format>>>New Format. :D Gamerfan09
- Thank you all, especially you Sportsfan. I will rework with the old style bulleting format. ApprenticeFan work 00:27, 25 April 2016 (UTC)

Editsummarisis
Hi, I know you're very busy trying to keep all the Olympic articles updated but it does look as though you're suffering from a case of Editsummarisis and it may be contagious. Please always try to add an edit summary before you hit save. Thanks -Basement12 (T.C) 09:11, 27 April 2016 (UTC)
Manual of Style
Hi Sportsfan 1234,
Can you explain to me thoroughly about your intention to edit the NOC pages, especially on the third-world nations across all five continents? You know why do I have to revert some of your edits? First, we are aiming for consistency and following the standard format used at the previous Games. The only change we are satisfying with would be the group standings of all team-based sports. Do you find the NOCs from previous editions inconsistent and unusual? Are you going to revamp the NOC pages by correcting the format? Do you want all NOC pages to apply the styles, format, and contents used at the Canada at the 2016 Summer Olympics? Please answer these questions accordingly and intelligently to clarify the issue. Thanks! Raymarcbadz (talk) 14:38, 12 April 2016 (UTC)
- I don't need an intention to edit pages on Wikipedia. I don't know why you are referencing third-world nations, because I am trying to edit as many as I can. Canada's page is not a model, its an example. I am following the rules set out in the MOS, for this cycle (2016 and onward). As soon as I get time we can go back into the previous cycles (2012, 2008 etc.). Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 14:41, 28 April 2016 (UTC)
- I know you are trying to edit as many as you can. But remember that there are some corrections and discussions needed for a change on WP:OLYMOSNAT, especially on the athletes' tables. Sometimes, I have to revert some of your edits. I am also aware about the width of the event column, which I intended to keep men and women in some sports separated, unless we can merge them and then break the parts of the words into two. (for example, Men's lightweight double sculls = Men's lightweight<br>double sculls). Is it okay for you to have longer width for events? Raymarcbadz (talk) 14:55, 28 April 2016 (UTC)
- Btw, how many NOC pages have you pinned on your watchlist? List down all the NOCs of Rio 2016 here from your watchlist thus far. Raymarcbadz (talk) 18:00, 28 April 2016 (UTC)

Kosovo at the 2016 Olympics
Kosovo is a disputed territory which on Wikipedia is noted most of the time by a footnote but was that was controversial on the Kosovo article and in its place was the description of its status and why it can't compete in all sports in rio. So that paragraph must be there. You can't just remove it.Qwerty786 (talk) 02:07, 4 May 2016 (UTC)
- I have changed the wording to reflect the Rio Olympics. The main part is already on the Kosovo at the Olympics article and therefore it is unnecessary to have it on this page as well. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 02:21, 4 May 2016 (UTC)
- You deleted most of the language that's relevent to 2016 and which was agreed to for over a year. This has been discussed and an agreement was reached. You don't even mention that Kosovo declared independence from Serbia. This was discussed. Qwerty786 (talk) 03:04, 4 May 2016 (UTC)
