Distribution

With a weekly distribution of 26,740 copies[1], making it the largest Jewish Newspaper in the UK by distribution, the Jewish News is at the heart of this thriving, educated and affluent community.

It’s available at more than 230 points across the capital[2] including synagogues, shops, schools, community centres and street stands.

Website

Back in 2000, the newspaper launched www.totallyjewish.com, which became the leading web portal for British Jews. Its immediate impact on Jewish life in Britain was recognised when Hitwise, the organisation that monitors internet traffic, ranked it the number one lifestyle/religion site in the UK.

In May 2013, TJ evolved into www.jewishnews.co.uk. The current site, rebuilt and designed in 2016 by RGB Media, offers daily national, international and regional breaking and developing news stories, columnists and blogs, celebrity news, gossip and interviews, cultural reviews, food, travel, sport and religious insight. There’s also business and finance news, investigative reports, videos, polls and competitions.

Wedding & Bar/Batmitzvah exhibition

Jewish News launched Simchas Live, a wedding & Bar/Batmitzvah exhibition, in 2007. It has run annually (or bi-annually) since then. The show places everything a Jewish family needs to put on a function in one room – including kosher caterers, venues, DJs, showbands, invitations, florists, wedding dresses, evening wear, scribes, entertainment & photographers. The next show is being held on Sunday 30th October at the Village Hotel, Watford[3].

Israel Policy Conference

Jewish News organised its inaugural UK-Israel Shared Strategic Challenges Conference in June 2015. Through a series of panels and keynote addresses, the day-long event in Parliament explored issues including whether rejectionists have slammed the door on a two-state solution, responses to the rise of ISIL and countering radicaliation. Politicians, journalists, government officials and representatives of the major think tanks heard speakers included then Israeli deputy prime minister Silvan Shalom, Opposition Leader Isaac Herzog, Yesh Atid leader Yair Lapid as well as UK Middle east minister Tobias Elwood and Charles Farr, the Home Office's counter terrorism chief.
