BLPs/February 2010

The following are now all referenced or otherwise processed:

Ato Mariano

I nearly PRODed this until I realised neither Paulo César de Oliveira nor Marco César de Oliveira Brito have articles here either. How do we distinguish between them all? Are those other guys notable? We are on a bit of a back foot with this one it seems... --Jubilee♫clipman 23:36, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Added one reference but not that good. Agree sink or swim. --Deskford (talk) 20:36, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
This is how I put it this afternoon: ---  Question: Only a single review from a not-entirely-RS plus his official site. Orphan still. This probably says it all... Now tagged NN --- Personally, (after some thought now) I'd just PROD it and see if anyone notices... --Jubilee♫clipman 23:21, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Red XNPROD --Jubilee♫clipman 16:28, 11 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Update - AfD. See project talkpage. --Jubilee♫clipman 20:48, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • David B. Doty - no sources for this guy online (or anywhere else that I can find) apart from his own notes to his recordings and his own website, which quaintly cites 'My Wikipedia article. Perhaps some qualified person would like to edit and expand it.' Another case of sink or swim.--Smerus (talk) 20:28, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Another PROD? I only found one ref and his own sites this afternoon. I didn't tick these two guys off here, BTW, in case anyone had a flash of inspiration and found a great source which we might have missed if they were maked "done"... Well, you never know..! --Jubilee♫clipman 23:28, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Red XNPROD --Jubilee♫clipman 16:28, 11 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Update Green tickY Deprodded --Jubilee♫clipman 20:48, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Donemus and HCMF sources seem good. I notice the HCMF performance was at Bates Mill, which is the venue where they put all the weird stuff...! --Deskford (talk) 23:24, 5 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Looks PROD-worthy. The best hint of notability is the claim of a recording on MDG, but I can't find this on MDG's own website. The German version de:Heinz Chur is scarcely any better. The reference to the Deutsche National Bibliothek looks promising, but it's just a list of works. --Deskford (talk) 22:58, 5 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Red XN PRODed. (Your last link is broken BTW, hence the dl tag! corrected)--Jubilee♫clipman 00:23, 6 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The COI tag was added by Duffbeerforme (talk · contribs) after Electrocdwiki (talk · contribs), owner of the record label Empreintes DIGITALes, created or expanded articles for most of the composers on his label — see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Empreintes DIGITALes. I think most of these COI tags could probably be removed if there is no obvious promotion of the label. --Deskford (talk) 15:39, 6 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Oh that. The AfD proposed mass-deleting multiple articles simply because of very minor COI concerns, IIRC. Anyway, I suspect the tagging was also somewhat agressive so we can safely remove any more that don't tag really obvious promo of the label, agreed. --Jubilee♫clipman 17:26, 6 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Update Green tickY Deprod (may well be classical too) --Jubilee♫clipman 20:50, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Green tickYVaguely sourced now. Also, I (re)created the article on Mark Engebretson]. --Jubilee♫clipman 16:47, 11 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The place she was supposedly born looks suspicious too. How has this article managed to survive 2½ years without anyone spotting it...? --Deskford (talk) 18:02, 6 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
"Mall'd Vydinac" is an anagram of "David McNally". The article was created by Davidm617617 (talk · contribs). Could it be...? --Deskford (talk) 18:16, 6 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Unless he lives in Kent (Ace Kent) or has a very friendly cat (Keen Cat), Ancketé doesn't anagram to much (though Ate Neck is a bit worrying). There are 58824 anagrams of "Nomi alea Réal Mur ly", so unless it is a phonetic play I've missed or his girl friend's name anagrammed, I can't get that one. David McNally is probably right, though! All good fun. Article still goes though... --Jubilee♫clipman 06:08, 7 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
"Nomi alea Réal Mur ly" is an anagram of "really our email, man", which is the most promising candidate I have found so far. AA Milne, manure, normal, normally, etc can all be formed from these letters but don't really go anywhere further, as far I can see. There is a full listing of 62501 anagrams here if anyone is that bothered. --Jubilee♫clipman 22:27, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Red XN OTOH, I can't find anything beyond passing mentions of him either as a composer or first President of Wikimedia Nederland. --Jubilee♫clipman 23:22, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
PRODed AfDed (didn't spot the first one): Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Oscar van Dillen (2nd nomination) --Jubilee♫clipman 23:40, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Green tickY but need more and needs sources about him not just about his music! Might just survive AfD, again, too. --Jubilee♫clipman 03:05, 9 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Note: removed from Composers and moved to Film --Jubilee♫clipman 17:59, 11 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
