Emily Bauer (born July 29, 1981 in New Jersey) is an American theater actress and voice actress. She is also credited as Emily Blau for her voice acting work, with roles in a number of English language dubs of Japanese anime shows including Dawn in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, Shinobu in Ninja Nonsense, Megumi Morisato in Ah! My Goddess and Lastelle in Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind.
Biography
Bauer grew up in suburban New Jersey, and took dance, acting, and singing classes at a local performing arts school, and later performed in professional plays and musicals at the Paper Mill Playhouse. Bauer attended Millburn High School, and majored in both Business and Theatre at New York University.[3] She graduated cum laude in 2002,[3] and also received the Presidential Honors Scholar Award for maintaining one of the highest cumulative G.P.A.'s.[4]
Bauer has acted in Mona Lisa Smile with Julia Roberts and Long Distance with Monica Keena. She also voiced in Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind with Alison Lohman, Patrick Stewart and Uma Thurman.
Bauer has appeared in ads for American Eagle Outfitters, Kohl's Department Stores, and Truth, Hasbro Toys. Angel Soil, Carefree, Olive Garden, Goodyear, AT&T, Halls Cough Drops and Dairy Queen.
Emily has an acting studio in New Jersey[5] and continues to participate in productions in the New York City metro area.
