You mentioned that the above mentioned article will be deleted within a week because it didnot have any credible reference apart from Hindustan Times. I have added new more credible references (Economic Times, Times of India, Business Today and Indian Express); even external links have been added for the same (other wikipedia articles). Redirect Cis-Kuen Lun Tract to Trans-Karakoram Tract
The Cis-Kuen Lun Tract is the same as the Trans-Karakoram Tract which I have edited extensively! You wanted sources. The Times Atlas link which shows the depiction of the northern border of Kashmir is the source! The map displays an enclosed area in northern Kashmir with the caption "Undefined Frontier area". The area encompassing the caption "Undefined Frontier area" is the Cis-Kuen Lun Tract. It is the same thing as the Trans-Karakoram Tract. The only difference is that the while the Trans-Karakoram Tract extends from the Karakoram Range northwards to the Kuen Lun Range, the Cis-Kuen Lun Tract extends from the Kuen Lun Range southwards towards the Karakoram range in central Kashmir. View the Times Atlas map of 1954 which depicts the northern border of Kashmir on the watershed of the Kuen Lun Range on the Taghdumbash Pamir, Mariom Pamir, and the Raskam range or ridge and depicts the caption "Undefined Frontier area" below it extending towards the Karakoram range and the Chhogori Peak K2 but not actually touching K2 as even the Times Atlas did not consider the K2 peak to be disputed. Nor did the Times Atlas consider the Shaksgam Valley disputed for that matter as can be seen in the 1954 map published by the Times Atlas.I am adding this because there is a concerted effort to restrict the Trans-Karakoram Tract to the Shaksgam Valley which is clearly erroneous and not borne out by records!Even the official map published by the The Government of Pakistan depicting the alignment of the northern Border of Kashmir in 1962, depicted much of the Cis-Kuen Lun Tract as part of Kashmir and the alignment published by the Government of Pakistan predominantly was similar to and coincided with the portrayal of the northern Border of Kashmir in 1954 by the Times Atlas which had predominantly depicted the Cis-Kuen Lun Tract as a part of Kashmir under the caption "Undefined Frontier area" though at places, the official position of the Government of
Pakistan deviated from the position of the Times Atlas and the Government of Pakistan even depicted areas as part of Kashmir which were to the north of the border of Kashmir as published in 1954 by the Times Atlas! Also for an idea of the extent of the Trans-Karakoram Tract or the Cis-Kuen Lun Tract, please view this map (C) from the Joe Schwartzberg's Historical Atlas of South Asia at DSAL in Chicagowith the caption, "The boundary of Kashmir with China as portrayed and proposed by Britain prior to 1947". The geographical and territorial extent of the Trans-Karakoram Tract or the Trans-Kuen Lun Tract is more or less the territory enclosed between the northern most line and the innermost lines! Also if one were to look for sources or references for the Trans-Karakoram Tract on the internet, the only references would be the articles on Wikipedia and no other. So there!
- Hence I request you to redirect Cis-Kuen Lun Tract to Trans-Karakoram Tract and then there will be no need for a separate article titled Cis-Kuen Lun Tract. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 106.51.31.23 (talk) 07:45, 10 May 2016 (UTC)
10:30:49, 10 May 2016 review of submission by Nairji
Hello David,
Thank you again for your review and the feedback. Appreciate it.
With complete regard and due respect to your judgement I would like to put my argument forward to reconsider the declination because the citations and links provided are from some of the leading publications in India. And moreover the links / references submitted are not "passing comments" about the subject, most of them are dedicated interviews given by her in main-line media (print as well as television) and these television channels are in top 10 channels based on the popularity as well as the viewership when it comes to entertainment segment in India.
Requesting you to re-look at it, the references and links have been kept very specific and the selected sources are notable from a geo-specific popularity viewpoint.
Looking forward to a response from your side.
Thanks and best regards, Nairji (talk) 10:30, 10 May 2016 (UTC)
Reviewing Anthony Jakobs you spend less than 60 seconds and chose to tag it with {{notability}} using Page Curation in Previous revision of Anthony Jakobs. To me the article with sentences like
reeks of 14-year old writing his WP:AB, and I can't find a single thing that, to me, sounds like a credible claim of significance. Which do you find is a CCS?
Another thing I would have done prior to tagging with {{db-person}} would have been to remove this entire section
pursuant to WP:GRAPEVINE and obviously disregarding a post such as this. Why did you leave it in? Sam Sailor Talk! 11:47, 10 May 2016 (UTC)
Missed the above? Sam Sailor Talk! 12:39, 11 May 2016 (UTC)
- Sam Sailor No I have not, I saw it the first time, I saw the article the first time and I would've Speedied but imagined someone would remove as 'significant'. I Speedied it now but it was also removed, ha! We'll at best have G4 now for later. Cheers, SwisterTwister talk 15:14, 11 May 2016 (UTC)
But I asked you two questions, and you only sort-of replied to one.
(a) Why would you as a NPPer avoid A7 tagging with the argument that "(I) imagined someone would remove as 'significant'" if at the same time you say that "I would've Speedied"?
(b) Your reply to the BLP violation is anticipated.
Sam Sailor Talk! 21:02, 11 May 2016 (UTC)
- FWIW, again, I actually speedied it earlier today but it was removed. In case you've haven't noticed, Sam Sailor, several speedies and PRODs are roughly removed recently and several of mine included (*ahem* Adam9007 *ahem*), who seem to think even the slightest thing sometimes (for his example a listed filmography or discography) is a claim of significance. Looking again now, I would've taken my chances and gone with the speedy or PROD if needed. I hope this answers your question and we can resolve this thread. Cheers, SwisterTwister talk 22:51, 11 May 2016 (UTC)
Yes, naturally your A7 of the article today was removed, as we are in the middle of the consensus driven part of DELPRO at AfD. Basic stuff.
Frankly, it does not make much sense to me what you are saying, yes, CCS is not written in stone, but in this case there is f*ck-O (US en: not a g*ddamn) CCS.
You still dodge the BLP violation. It is difficult to imagine, that you would not be aware of it, if you had seen it. Does that mean that you simply did not read the whole article before tagging?
Sam Sailor Talk! 23:07, 11 May 2016 (UTC)
- Sam Sailor I looked at the article but I still would not have been surprised if the tag had been removed given the apparent filmography and discography. It's certainly a useless article and is best tagged, I'm an advocate of tagging articles regardless of AfDs if it certainly still applies like this case. Easier for everyone and also AfD which has enough nominations as it is. As it is, I encountered an article a few moments ago that was controversial so I have simply tagged the hell out of it. Cheers, SwisterTwister talk 23:19, 11 May 2016 (UTC)
In the less than 60 seconds you spend on the article, it seems highly unlikely that you should have had time to dig into the so-called "filmography". I also find it unlikely to think that a diligent NPPer would have fallen prey to this empty fluff.
The so-called "discography" was not present at the time you tagged it, so I'm not sure why you mention it. I hope that other editors than myself would hover over the songs and quickly conclude that the discography is another attempt to fool the superficial curator, e.g. subject had nothing to do with Justin Bieber's "Love Yourself" or any of the other four songs mentioned.
Until now nobody has reported a CCS was present in Anthony Jakobs, but since you mention Adam9007 as a user who "roughly removes speedies", why not ping him, and ask his opinion?
I take note that you disregard DELPRO when you state that I'm an advocate of tagging articles regardless of AfDs
.
As for the BLP violation that you did not catch and still do not comment on: I urge you to spend much more time on actually reading articles that you intend to curate.
Sam Sailor Talk! 00:08, 12 May 2016 (UTC)
- @SwisterTwister: Can you give us some examples please? I don't recall ever saying that merely having a filmography or discography is a claim of significance. It's much more likely it had something to do with one or more of the songs/films in them (such as the subject playing a major role in a notable film which happened to be on the filmography). Adam9007 (talk) 01:07, 12 May 2016 (UTC)
Hi, I got a tag from you for a reference improvement for the article on the Sydney Glaciarium. Before removing the tag you applied I thought I'd point out that absolutely every section of content on that article is in fact referenced and also every reference is from a major national newspaper. Newspaper articles from the time period, citing an event that took place in that time period, are about as credible a source and high quality a source that you can get ... I completely disagree that the credibility of the references need to be improved and do beg you to acknowledge national newspaper articles from the given time period as being one of the most credible references possible. I purposely try to not use reflective articles, written about an event years after the fact. I am happy to discuss this further with you if you still do not agree that articles written for national newspapers by first hand witnesses to the event, at the time the event occurred, are a credible reference.
How I would improve this article on the historic Sydney Glaciarium is not credibility of the references, but the quantity of information on the article itself. Something I am in the process of doing and in the very spirit of the wiki - hope others do too. Orion 2012 (talk) 12:42, 10 May 2016 (UTC)

Dear SwisterTwister, thanks for your second rejection and 3rd from Wiki's editor team as it allows me to provide even more references from international coverages of Charged Hong Kong despite the fact that it is a year old. There are now 56 references and they are either critically important to the development of the officially registered charity in Hong Kong or simply highly notable such as Forbes, Bloomberg, Reuters, CNBC, BBC, International Business Times, etc. Just to name a few. I have also written the article according to the Wikipedia's "guidelines on the notability of organizations and companies" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:The_answer_to_life,_the_universe,_and_everything, which states that "Articles generally require significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the topic." As far as anyone can tell, age of the organisation as the reason you have repeatedly rejected my article on, in this case on Charged Hong Kong as a registered charity doing good things to the world advocating clean air through electric vehicle adaptation, does not appear in any sense as a specific requirement and prerequisite by Wikipedia as a reason for rejection of article submission. What's more, using 'age' of a person, an organisation and particularly for a registered charity to judge its influence to the world is immature and unprofessional. Simply because by naming a minimum age requirement to be worthy of an article on Wikipedia, there will be thousands of counter-examples on Wikipedia.
Hello SwisterTwister. I'm a very new Wikipedia contributor. Not even beginning to be an editor. Earlier this month I added an article about Joseph McCormackMD. Today, I wanted to start an article about his son Arthur T McCormack but somehow instead of putting it in my sandbox, I put in somewhere for all the world to see. I'm just about finished with it, but in the meantime, I'd really like to understand what changes you made so I'll better know how to write in the future. Plus, I've got some questions about things that aren't working correctly and would love it if someone like you could help me through the sweet spots. Drvalsummers (talk) 01:42, 11 May 2016 (UTC)

Rohan Ali and removed PROD
Hi, sorry about removing the prod. I didn't even notice I had. Probably an edit conflict as you said. The page author had taken Wgolf and me through a couple rounds of adding fake refs and removing a BLPprod so I was coming to the conclusion that AfD was for the best as it is harder to game (ie you can't kill it just by removing the tag). I'm glad the article is gone now anyhow. Happy Squirrel (talk) 15:09, 11 May 2016 (UTC)

I ask mainly as it has been Speedily Deleted under criteria which I do not believe apply. Please see User talk:RHaworth#On_the_Wight for details. Aftab Group Issue
Hi,
ref: www.wikipedia.org/wiki/aftab_group
i made an article on Aftab Group of Bangladesh, where i had my internship few years back. And now have no relationship with them. (So no chance for any interest conflict)
However i found that the article has been nominated for deletion.
I know that my article is not very very informative for a big group of business like aftab group.
but i sense their presence should be on wiki.
Please do not delete my article at once rather help me out in retaining the same, as i am new as a writer on wiki..

Speedy deletion declined: AutoWed
Hello SwisterTwister. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of AutoWed, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: This is quite obviously ludicrous, and this kind of silly stuff is unworthy of an article in a serious encyclopedia, yeah? Reliable sources assert at least some WP:SIGNIFICANCE. WP:AfD candidate? Thank you. Shirt58 (talk) 11:56, 12 May 2016 (UTC)
- Apologies for the templated speedy deletion decline. This article appears to me laughable, unrelentingly silly, and unworthy of an encyclopedia article. But it appears to have had significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject.

Hello SwisterTwister. You tagged "BoChamp" for speedy deletion, but you did not notify the article's creator that it had been so tagged. There is strong consensus that the creators of articles tagged for speedy deletion should be warned and that the person placing the tag has that responsibility. All of the major speedy deletion templates contain a pre-formatted warning for this purpose—just copy and paste to the creator's talk page. Thank you.Template:Z19. Hello SwisterTwister. Could you please let me know which passages in my submission are still too promotional? It would be a great help. Unfortunately your statement is slightly too generic and I am confused. Thanks in advance! BjoernSgav (talk) 12:19, 13 May 2016 (UTC)
When will you slow down?
In Diff of Me Adarayai you tagged with A7 10 min (9 min 59 sec actually) after creation with the edit summary ???? Over 10 minutes and nothing.........
. Why would you tag what a Google search appears to reveal is a teledrama with A7? Sam Sailor Talk! 07:20, 14 May 2016 (UTC)
- Sam Sailor It's not about that, it's simply that the user needs to give reasonable time to at least actually start the article. I firmly comment I'm not interested with any heated comments and criticism. Frankly you may think I tag anything too soon, but knowing everyone else, it's always gets tagged sooner or later. Also, these users are obligated to at least give an reasonably acceptable article, or else restart it when they are set to begin. SwisterTwister talk 07:22, 14 May 2016 (UTC)
Yes, I can understand you are not interested in criticism. I think there are other more productive ways to content creation in a case like this, e.g. tagging with {{New user article}}. But you again dodge the question: why did you tag with A7 specifically? Sam Sailor Talk! 07:28, 14 May 2016 (UTC)
- Sam Sailor I cordially welcome that you understand, I tagged it because it was applicable for both A3 and A7, no actual context aside from that and then also no significance. Even if there is information, there was enough reasonable time to at least make changes aside from that one action. SwisterTwister talk 07:30, 14 May 2016 (UTC)
Is a teledrama eligible for A7? Sam Sailor Talk! 07:32, 14 May 2016 (UTC)

I have removed the {{prod}} tag from Goodstart Early Learning, which you proposed for deletion. I'm leaving this message here to notify you about it. If you still think the article should be deleted, please don't add the {{prod}} template back to the article. Instead, feel free to list it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Thanks!
You spent c. 2 minutes (Diff of Dil Aur Mohabbat → Diff of Goodstart Early Learning) on verifying 8-10 references to secondary sources present before prodding it (Previous revision of Goodstart Early Learning) with the rationale still questionable for WP:Notability (organizations and companies) and WP:GNG
.
I don't believe any editor would claim to be able to vet 8-10 refs in 2 minutes. Do you? Sam Sailor Talk! 18:49, 18 May 2016 (UTC)
To avoid fragmentation I move your edit made to my talk page:
I simply wanted to note that I'm starting to consider your behavior and comments a bit serious and I hope this is not going to lead to hounding. FWIW, I thought you and I had come to better ground so I hope you're not intent to criticize everything of mine including what Tom29739 says.... No need to respond if you're going to have attitude or sarcasm. 19:00, 18 May 2016 (UTC)

The note left on my talk page instead of some straight answers here makes little sense to me. I am not aware that we have been on bad ground, if that is implied. You consider my "behavior" serious with a potential of hounding to it? By all means, if you believe that the awareness I am trying to raise here in regards to your tagging in articles that I happened to come across or, as is the case with Goodstart Early Learning, have edited via Short Page patrol before you, gives you ground to cast aspersions on my "behavior", would you not please take it to AN/I? To me, may I be frank, what you say sounds more like you wish to continue to avoid communication about your tagging.
I do think you should take my comments serious as well as take any other comment left on your talk page by other editors serious. That starts by communicating.
It has been less than a month since your tagging was discussed at AN/I in the thread User:SwisterTwister's reviewing issues. I did not participate. A common view expressed by editors who opposed the proposed restrictions in patrolling was: "This is fixable - he should slow down." One of your replies was: I am willing to change my pace and better examine these articles
. But I don't see that is the case in the examples given above. Prodding Goodstart Early Learning looks like it was done on sheer gut-feeling, as any vetting of existing references and a search for sources would have indicated that the article can be sourced and notability verified. To me there are no excuses that can be reasonably made here, it is a simple case of rushing through reviewing and give a hoot about WP:PRODNOM.
Since you bring up Tom29739, your IRC friend (Diff of User talk:SwisterTwister, Diff of User talk:SwisterTwister, Diff of User talk:SwisterTwister, Diff of User talk:SwisterTwister, Diff of User talk:SwisterTwister), I noticed that he turned up on my talk page 49 seconds after you (Diff of User talk:Sam Sailor). My only interaction with Tom has been his 2-minute pile-on delete vote in your ill-prepared AfD nomination Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/FLAVORx. This is just one of four nominations made within minutes of each with very clear Keep outcomes:
- Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Fred Cray, closed as Keep
- Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bernardo Gómez-Pimienta, closed as Keep
- Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Lindsey White (2nd nomination), closed as Keep
Do you suggest that any experienced editor would believe you had performed the slightest WP:BEFORE in these four cases?
Among the many kind words of advice given at AN/I was: I would much rather turn SwisterTwister's considerable energy into a force for good without such restrictions. I do think that it's important that he listen to the feedback from other experienced editors and take it to heart.
. I fully agree. But if what we witness here is a bad habit pattern, the first challenge is to acknowledge it, and then implement the needed changes to create good habits. Your outright position that
I'm not interested with any [...] criticism
is not helpful in that regard. Sincerely, Sam Sailor Talk! 08:23, 19 May 2016 (UTC)

Just a BIG thank you for the support I have received from you in chat on Wikipedia. As a newbie here, I have the utmost admiration for the people here who give their time - extremely generously - to help others, like myself, and tomaintain this amazing free resource - that is Wikipedia. The more I come here, the more impressed I am. There are corporate organisations that pay large wages to people, that don't provide any where close to the service that I have received on Wikipedia, and when you consider that the Wikipedia service is provided by committed volunteers who don't get paid anything, I feel I have to pay my respects and major gratitude to people like yourself. BIG respect and simply Thank You VERY much! Keep up the great work. Monty heath (talk) 15:44, 14 May 2016 (UTC) |

I have tried twice to submit an article on OceanDocs. The second time I followed exactly the format of a similar repository Aquatic Commons which was accepted by Wikipedia. The reviewer still thinks it is an advertisement! I am trying to describe an information product - a global ocean repository hosted by the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (a Unesco agency). I do not see how I can make it acceptable. I do not understand how a description of an ocean information product is an advertisement?

Hello,
What other information do you think would be needed in this article? I looked at many different sources, peer reviewed articles, scientific journals - and I cited them all, so I am a little confused about the references. I developed this page as an independent study with my college advisor while taking a scuba diving course. Based on direct experience and what I learned from the research, I believe I created a thorough and complete page. I think it is an important concept and needs to have its own page, not exist within the larger page of just Scuba Diving.
Thank you,
Brendan Ingargiola

I understand it looks like all the info is coming from Linkedin page, but please note there are at least two reliable sources included in the references, which is all that is needed to qualify the BLP as notable. I am removing your BLP tag and working on adding more notable sources. Thank you for your feedback. Any help would be appreciated. Comatmebro User talk:Comatmebro 23:09, 15 May 2016 (UTC)

Dev Randhawa article
Hi SwisterTwister,
You have reviewed my article for Dev Randhawa (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dev_Randhawa) and (I presume this was you) marked it for speedy deletion. The reason given was:
"All still questionable for the needed solid independent notability at WP:GNG"
I looked at the link for WP:GNG and came to the conclusion that the articles sources are problematic? If this is so, do let me know and I'll make the necessary changes - if I have to provide new sources for you to review I'll happily do so.
Thanks,

Hey, I have followed the review history for this article and believe I have made the necessary changes. But rather than resubmit it, I thought I would ask you first. Daniel Darling is a significant contributor in the evangelical world whose position at the ERLC representing 16 million Southern Baptists qualifies him as someone "notable." Whoever made these recent edits clearly did not know what they were doing. Based on the edits I made, would you say I have acquired enough independent resources or should I still find my sources? Please advise! Thank you for your help making wikipedia a professional encyclopedia.

Hello SwisterTwister,
This article has been declined several times for lack of sources. I provided multiple 3rd party, non local sources that confirm the vineyard's notability and it was declined.
North Carolina wine is a booming industry in the state that has recently attributed to it being also known as the East Coast's Wine Valley. Missouri and other smaller wine states have Wikipedia pages with substantially less credible and notable vineyard pages. The Raffaldini Vineyard is wildly popular, so much so that Obama brought a bottle of wine to the Italian President.
I understand Wikipedia's effort to keep the site credible, but it shouldn't be this difficult to get an article approved with valuable content. How can we work together to get this published?
Below are less notable vineyards and wine states with approved Wikipedia pages:

This Week Newspaper
Hello David, thank you for reviewing the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:This_Week_Newspaper submission and I'll go through the references one by one to try weeding out the sources that don't fit the the golden rule exactingly. Because the article deals with historic publishing events, my first inclination, rightly or wrongly, was to provide evidence of their existence using documents and images throughout the referencing process. Like the article on "The Independent" newspaper at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Independent, a number of the references used are not entirely independent (sic) in that the sources are The Independent itself and I would welcome your advice on this. Hello, my friend. I'm probably missing something obvious, but has anyone just asked you to maybe work other areas besides reviewing? A lot of people seem to find that you are going too fast or making errors or something. How would you feel about working other areas while watching other reviewer's outcomes to be sure, when you return to it, that all your calls will be acceptable to the community? Starting articles is bags of fun. We could work together on some of that. Thoughts? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 00:07, 22 May 2016 (UTC)

About delation of North African Arabs article
Hello Sir David
This article is created by some pan-arabists his name is alhaqiqa
This person vandalized many times the berbers article and also he commented on the articles for deletion to save his article so i deleted his comment
The North African Arabs article is created to abuse berbers and to distorting facts
In a section of this article "Berberisation and Berberised Arabs" they write Racism in North-Africa !!
There is an article "Arabs" so there is no need to create another article
I realy want your your opinion
This is his comment on the debate
"Keep Be Aware! This page is put up for deletion by a Berberist which has deleted many important information of many good pages on wikipedia about arabs. I already blocked AyOuBoXe of the page because he has deleted much reliable information without any sources or explanation. This is just a childish act of a North-African Berber which is playing games on Wikipedia and trying to remove the history of North-African Arabs. "
I removed this comment because it's his article .

Thanks for your response to my query about article on Shri P S Surana. Could you assist in reframing the article? Also, would you suggest that I upload the same as draft and get suggestions and then move ahead with final?

Bot Clarification Needed
First, thank you very much for your help with an article. My question now about the same one found at [2] is about the bot's Clarification Needed notice. I believe we decided the article was now clarified. Who removes that from the main page of the article? Do I just leave it there? - WP:BEFORE is not a dirty word. At the above AFD you wrote Delete, but your opinion saying
"...nothing to assume this can be timely improved for the notability"
makes it seem that you based that opinion upon current state and did not practice any diligence to see if sources existed to meet WP:NF and so allow improvement. However, the article was quite easy to find ample sourcing to bring into line with MOS:FILM and WP:NF. I ask you to look at Mahanayika, study the improvements and sourcing, and reconsider your stance at to the AFD discussion... and perhaps go for a keep. Request for input at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Nick Basile
As you seem to have recently stumbled across the mother load of nigh orphaned articles from Wikipedia's early days, I figured you may like to give some input for this one. For reasons I can't fathom, this AfD has not received any input, which seems rather unusual. DARTHBOTTO talk•cont 06:05, 26 May 2016 (UTC)

Hi, I am a new user to Wikipedia, so am not sure what the procedure is. The article I submitted was declined on 24th April, I have reviewed and worked on it a few times and think I have now met the requirements. I resubmitted the article around the 6th May and wonder if I could get feedback on this please.

Your Delete Rational on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of current NASCAR races (2nd nomination)
I left a comment for you to look at. I disagree with delete and redirect as some of those pages in Jeopardy has been merged with other articles, also I want to merge what has not been not been merged into those articles. Then when that is done I will redirect to the appropriate pages. So I need more input into your deletion reasoning. TY Sawblade5 (talk to me | my wiki life) 01:25, 27 May 2016 (UTC)

To answer your question, all the galleries and museums cited in the article are national institutions that have permanent collections. Just curious - why would this be a sticking point? Thanks for reviewing my submission. I'll add reliable news sources as you suggest. As a first timer, perhaps you can advise on a couple of things: 1) do references have to be public or (for example) would analyst reports or conference material that require a subscription to access be acceptable? 2) there are a few other folks that are independent of the company that could contribute to the article. Is it OK for them to do so on this draft page, or is it better that one of them resubmit?
appreciate the help!

Signac, LLC: Request for assistance on AfC submission
- HusSchoMar (talk · contribs)
You said the page could not be posted because the company was "only founded this year thus it's not yet notable because it's too soon". Is this a rule that Wikipedia has? I can't find anything like that in the "notability guidelines", and it seems like an arbitrary decision. Signac is a joint venture by two separate billion-dollar, very notable companies, and is using software with a well-established track record. I made sure that my article had multiple citations from major, independent news sources that described the significance of Signac, which fulfills the all primary criteria for notability (depth of coverage; audience; independence of sources; and illegal conduct - the last of which does not apply). As detailed in the coverage from secondary sources, Signac is already making a substantial global impact by helping banking institutions to eliminate rogue trading and avoid other financial crises that have made major headlines and cost billions of dollars in recent years.
Thus it doesn't seem "too soon", and it meets all of Wikipedia's criteria for notability. It seems to me that waiting a year to post a Wikipedia page about this company would just make Wikipedia out of date for that time. I appreciate any suggestions you can give me to improve the article otherwise.

Hi, I saw that you redirected the Rockford Fosgate page to Jim Fosgate back in 2015. Reply to rant
"Any article that has "stated aim" within the first few paragraphs is not acceptable." {{citation needed}} (lol!)
Also, "you insist with criticizing and hounding me, please stay away as I cannot take your vulgarity seriously" is a personal attack, provide evidences of hounding or retreat your accusations. I avoided to comment in your last ANI ventures and I did not commented in the large mayority of your AfDs. Given I regularly check and comment AfDs, speedy deletions and prods, and you spend hours as AfDer and prodder and comment everywhere, our interaction stats are actually well beyond the expected level. And "the article does not appear so promotional, proceed via AfD" is arguably a very civil edit summary with no trace of vulgarity, it does not justify your rant. You would spend your time better if you would reflect about your terrible AfD record as a nominator [4], with one half of your nominations failing, and on the reason they fail so much (lack of WP:BEFORE). My best, Cavarrone 06:19, 8 June 2016 (UTC)
- No, what's ranting is that I have specifically asked you to stay away because you actually go out of your way to remove PRODs, criticize me and my work, and respond quite vulgarly. See your talk page for your discussion with User:Chrisw80, where you basically never gave him an actual response. See also Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bertinazzi, where you specifically called me "stupid" and actually defended yourself with this again at that ANI. Please kindly stay away as I have said before because you clearly cannot speak calmly to me without causing some heated criticism. For example, you have even removed my PRODs "simply because you did not like them" with is not at all what Wikipedia is. SwisterTwister talk 06:23, 8 June 2016 (UTC)
- I never gave him a response?? Are you able to read this (I had to edit itand dividing it in paragraphes because it was a wall of text)? My response was very extended and accurate, what is not clear in it? about Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bertinazzi you keep on citing again and again, are you able to EXPLAIN your vote there as long as you were not able to explain it nor in the AfD not at ANI (and again I did not called you stupid but I called your comment stupid)? I am ready to give you excuses if you are able to explain your vote there. Also, I when I removed PRODs "simply because you did not like them"? {{citation needed}}. Cavarrone 06:34, 8 June 2016 (UTC)
- I cannot obviously give links to those now-deleted articles from which the PRODs you removed, but regardless, you have never acknowledged a needed apology or otherwise regret of still making a personal threatening message by calling my comments stupid. Regardless, you still have not heeded my warnings to stay away from me because of this. About Chrisw80, you never actually also acknowledged an apology or otherwise regret. Even then any apologies made could not be taken thoroughly seriously or genuine given your still disdain towards me. You simply thanked him instead, instead of saying "Yes, I know I have been too harsh and I will attempt better to distance myself". SwisterTwister talk 06:39, 8 June 2016 (UTC)
- Again, you would sound more convincing if you would actually explain your vote at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bertinazzi. Before your comment several editors including me posted articles, dictionary entries, encyclopedia voices and monographies about the subject, then you arrived and ignoring both the current discussion and the sources you said it had to be deleted "for now" because... I don't know. If you want to improve yourself and avoid criticism, you should analyze the reasons I considered (and still consider) such a comment stupid (and disruptive too) instead of complaining about the word. And I have no idea on why this should be a "personal threatening message", and I have no idea on why I should to stay away from you because of this (YOU were actually wrong, not me), at best is a warning on posting constructive arguments and not "just a vote". About regrets, have you actually regretted about nominating tons of notable subjects for deletion causing a much deeper stress to articles' creators, mostly unexperienced editors, who probably did not sourced them just because they did not know how to do it or did not know the en.wiki rules? Or did you regret about losing potential new editors who had needed some assistance and instead found their articles deleted without even being notified about the deletions (and the reasons their articles were deleted)? About Chrisw80, you were welcome to join the discussion in my talk page if you were not satisfied of my response. My only goal is improving Wikipedia, and about you, improve the quality of your contributions, period. I have nothing personal about you, and if it may count for something, I think you make an excellent work as AfC reviewer. Still, I stay the point your deletion arguments are too often poor, that you should improve your WP:BEFORE, and you should notify the articles' creators when you nominate their articles for deletions. You were often advised about that by multiple experienced editors, and you basically ignored these suggestions every time, not even replying to talk page messages, the time would be ripe to change such an approach.
- When I started editing WP, I received some guidance and some criticism, and I have treasured of both, as long as this is a collaboration project, you should do the same. You should ask yourself on why you have issues with so many editors on WP and work to solve them. The fact this time you have not ignored/deleted the talk page message and engaged in a discussion is already a little improvement by you in the right direction. Cavarrone 07:30, 8 June 2016 (UTC)
- As such because of our experiences and nothing to suggest there's anything better, that's also why I've repeatedly asked you to stay away and I hope this can actually happen thus I responded. SwisterTwister talk 07:33, 8 June 2016 (UTC)
- WP:IDIDNTHEARTHAT response. I have to (sadly) retreat the comment above in which I said you were improving your approach, you apparently just do not care. And no, I will not avoid my very limited AfDs/prods interaction with you just because you don't like my arguments and don't accept any criticism. I never vote because of the nominator, I vote because of the specific article. Side note, I am pretty sure that virtually every time I voted in an AfD started by you to keep the article the article was eventually kept, so your request seems a bit a request of convenience. 09:40:07, 8 June 2016 review of submission by Jackie Partarrieu
Hi there. I am confused. You say that I did not use enough reliable sources (I cited NCBI, Lancet, Oxford Journals, the World Health Organisation, EORTC, ESMO, etc). Not sure where I can find more reliable/quality sources. You also said that there is not enough "significant coverage". We are talking about RARE cancers. That is the whole point. They are rare. Not many people care about them because they are "rare". Labs don't think there is enough money in them to make them profitable and interesting. Not enough research is done on them. Patients, children (all paediatric cancers are rare) are dying because of this. I was hoping a wikipedia article could add a little stone to the building of creating awareness of this not so rare, unfortunately, unmet health need. Can you please help me by explaining what more I can say and how I can go about it? I have mined Google to find more information but I think I have added all the quality sources I could find. Many thanks in advance for your guidance. Jackie

The newspaper itself was a reliable source of information throughout its seventeen year lifetime but I'm not sure if that counts. It also falls within the scope of WikiProject Wales to build a comprehensive and detailed guide to authoritative articles on Wales, and articles on Wales in Wikipedia.
I've run through all the other references and note many of them are there to provide evidence of the newspaper's existence; of events that led to its success before new media gained ground, and Campaigns that resulted in significant outcomes. In reference [20] where a press release is used, this was to show how effective the newspaper had been in persuading visitors to abandon their cars and use public transport instead at their holiday destinations, to help reduce their carbon footprint in honeypot areas.
I trust we're edging closer to the golden rule, with further advice most welcome. --Caerhys (talk) 15:17, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) First things first, I changed your wikilink for WikiProject Wales so that it points into the Project namespace, which is where said page is located. I assume you won't mind, bit it's considered to polite to inform people that you've changed their comments even if it was trivial. The second thing is that notability guidelines are pretty strict about the type of coverage that's needed. The important part is getting significantly-sized articles in reliable sources. Looking at your references, it seems like a lot of them are primary sources, namely things published by the paper itself. This is fine for verifying basic information, but does not actually indicate the subject's notability, as notability itself is an assessment of how much something has been covered by reputable sources. Looking at your draft, it would seem you should find independent sources on the matter. –Compassionate727 (T·C) 22:49, 9 June 2016 (UTC)

Anne DeLong's comment concerning the fact that the band's mandolinist is employed by a newspaper contains no rationale supporting the conclusion she suggests that a conflict of interest could exist.
- (talk page stalker) @Wymiller: First, it's worth noting that the comment you are talking about wasn't left by SwisterTwister, but by Anne Delong. That said, I can go ahead and answer your question for you. Anne Delong wasn't referring to a conflict of interest. She(?) was making the distinction between primary and other sources, as independent sources are what's used to establish notability. The comment was simply that the bands publication in the Colorado Springs Independent didn't really count as an independent source, because one of the members is affiliated with them. –Compassionate727 (T·C) 22:57, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
Regarding my "Stalking"
I assume you don't mind me helping you deal with all the various queries on your talk page, but I just wanted to let you know that if you do, either now or in the future, you can always ask me to stop. Thanks! –Compassionate727 (T·C) 22:58, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
AfD !votes
Hello. I've seen you quite a lot around AfD and you do make some great article nominations, but I'm here for a different reason. I've been scrolling through quite a lot of AfDs to determine which ones can be relisted and to sort them into categories and I've come across a lot of your !votes, but your comments all have the same generic phrasing for a delete. Please don't take this criticism to heart but maybe you should slow down with your AfD !votes and look into the topics a bit further. I've come across topics today that you've voted delete consecutively within minutes whilst supposedly searching for sources. What I'm saying is that you ought to explore the topic in detail and when you conclude that there is no sources, then !vote delete. I'm saying this because of this AfD, which is an example where sources were found upon a 'quick search', as well as here and here. This AfD is an example where other avenues could've been explored rather than AfD. I admire your dedication to Wikipedia but please, please slow down. You could be !voting delete for something that is definitely salvageable. st170etalk 00:44, 10 June 2016 (UTC)
13:26:03, 10 June 2016 review of submission by TreacleTurtle
I'm not yet requesting a re-review, just a bit of help and clarification.
Thank you so much for reviewing my article. I was wondering if you would be able to help me a little bit as to which references aren't strong enough, so that I can improve my submission. Or is it all of them?
Many thanks in advance.

Hi SwisterTwister,
I respectfully disagree with your decision to decline this article and request a re-review. It has been built up by several authors independent of the subject over a long period of time. It meets the Golden Rule guidelines and the Guidelines for the Notability of Creative Professionals (filmmakers, etc.)
The Golden Rule: The subject indeed has significant coverage (multi-page editorials, not Q&A interviews) in reliable sources (NY Times, LA Times, LA Weekly, Hollywood Reporter, Variety, Filmmaker Magazine, IndieWire, the Museum of Modern Art, etc.) that are independent of the topic (of course, the periodicals previously mentioned aren't related to the subject of the article in any way).
Guidelines for the Notability of Creative Professionals:
1) The person is regarded as an important figure or is widely cited by peers or successors.
The subject has been covered as one of the top 100 new filmmakers in a book published by Phaidon Press that was curated by major film festival programmers from around the world. The subject has also been nominated for an IFP Gotham Award. Also, included in the sources are interviews with other filmmakers who cite the work of the subject as an influence and something wholly original.
2) The person is known for originating a significant new concept, theory, or technique.
See the above respond to #1. The filmmaker is known for the originality of his work.
3) The person has created or played a major role in co-creating a significant or well-known work or collective body of work. In addition, such work must have been the subject of an independent book or feature-length film or of multiple independent periodical articles or reviews.
The subject created a work that was deemed significant by the NY Times, the Museum of Modern Art and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. The work, "Loren Cass", has also been the one of the subjects of a book ("Take 100" published by Phaidon Press) and of multiple independent periodical articles and reviews. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.9.151.198 (talk) 02:26, 11 June 2016 (UTC)
4) The person's work (or works) either (a) has become a significant monument, (b) has been a substantial part of a significant exhibition, (c) has won significant critical attention, or (d) is represented within the permanent collections of several notable galleries or museums.
The subject's feature film, "Loren Cass", is known for its originality (a), was featured in an exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in NYC (b), has been named a NY Times Critic's Pick and received strong reviews in numerous mainstream publications (c), was nominated for an IFP Gotham Award (c), and is represented at the Museum of Modern Art along with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (d), linked below for verification.
