Bernard Charles Sendall (30 April 1913 - 25 May 1996) was the secretary and later the Deputy Director General of the British Independent Television Authority (ITA). However, he is probably best known as the author of the three-volume Independent Television in Britain, a book widely regarded as the definitive history of the first 25 years of the ITV service.
