Iryna Harpy, I dream of horses, samtar. You both know me as the IP whose IP address constantly changes, Iryna Harpy I edited the European diaspora page last year and there was abit of a dispute but we resolved it. Samtar, we had a discussion about an issue on a Korean drama page a few days ago. I dream of horses, you welcomed me once last year after I added more information to Savika Chaiaydech's Wikipedia page. I need your help in solving this edit war/dispute. The other user claims the book that has been used as a source to confirm the existence of Australian Malysians on Christmas Island for quite some time now, is invalid. I believe it is valid because it is a book written by a man who traveled and studied Christmas Island. They are also in dispute over the inclusion of "Christmas Island, Australia" as a "significant region" of Malaysian Chinese instead replacing it with Singapore. However unlike Christmas Island, Malaysian Chinese do not form the majority in Singapore whilst they form the majority on Christmas Island. There hasn't been any problem with Christmas Island being included (it was added to the articles last year) until this user disagreed with it a few weeks ago. If you want to could you please be a mediator in this dispute. (110.149.151.169 (talk) 03:37, 22 July 2016 (UTC)) |

:With all due respect, i am just following other ethnic group wikipedia article, the IP address claimed that the Christmass Island should be included in the ethnic group infobox despite having a small minority of roughly few dozens to around more than a thousand people. This IP address removed Singapore from the Malaysian Chinese page (despite the fact i already provided the source from the Singapore Statistic Department). The IP address only source was only a book that he/she claimed to read. Plus, following other ethnic group article I think it is just to add Singapore to the Malaysian Chinese article (as it was home for 330,000 Malaysian Chinese), just like other ethnic groups that include their huge diaspora community in the article. --Egard89 (talk) 03:48, 22 July 2016 (UTC) |
