The Unit of Admission and Registration at TTU is the students’ gateway to the university which oversees educational affairs and provides services supporting the educational process. It considers students as the future of the nation; and its work is not restricted to specific seasons but, rather, it is a continuous and permanent activity. Furthermore, the Unit works hard to faicilitate university life for students as well as faculty members by providing them with computerized services in an efficient and effective manner in cooperation with the Computer and Information Technology Center in order to keep pace with changing technology and student expectations, making university life both manageable and enjoyable.<ref>http://www.ttu.edu.jo/index.php/en/about-admission</ref> |

Tafila Technical University (TTU) (Arabic جامعة الطفيلة التقنية), is a public university in Jordan.
History
On 17 January 2005, a Royal Decree was issued to establish Tafila Technical University which currently contributes to the development of higher education in Jordan.[1] TTU is the 9th public university in Jordan. It considered the first specialized technical university in Jordan.[1]
Colleges
College of engineering
With the establishment of Tafila Technical University, COE was established on 17 January 2005 with three departments: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Natural Resources and Chemical Engineering. COE has five academic departments offering eleven programs in various disciplines. The college has (110) faculty members and about 3000 students. This number will hopefully increase in the coming years. The college has awarded (60) outstanding students with scholarships to pursue their master and doctoral degrees in various disciplines[2]
College of sciences
College of Sciences was established right after the establishment of TTU in 2005, and it includes the following departments: Chemistry and Chemical Technology, Applied Physics, and Mathematics and Computer Science. The study plans of Chemistry and Chemical Technology have been adopted and approved since 2005. The program of chemical technology is offered at TTU only.
At the beginning of the academic year of 2007/2008, the program of Computer Information Systems was offered at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, and of the academic year 2015/2016, the program of Applied Biology was offered at the Department of Applied Biology.[3]
College of Business
When the COB was established in 2005, it had the Department of Economics only. Currently, COB has three departments with four academic programs offering bachelor degrees in Business Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, and Financial and Banking sciences. In addition, it offers a diploma degree in business administration. These departments offer a variety of courses designed for students pursuing careers in a variety of areas such as business, industry, government, local and international markets. College of Businesses maintains relations with the local community. The college offers several training and consultation programs and services to it. In the near future, COB hopes to offer new bachelor and master programs in areas required by the community[4]
College of Arts
The College of Arts was founded in 2006. It started with the Department of Arabic, Department of English and Department of Humanities and Social Sciences. The departments of English and Arabic have had bachelor programs since then. The college first had 10 faculty members, 3 administrative staff members. Currently, the college houses 22 faculty members, 5 administrative staff members.[5]
College of Educational Sciences
COES was founded in 2005. It includes two departments: department of educational psychology, and Department of Curriculum and Instruction. COES offers two master programs on curriculum and instruction as well as three bachelor programs on child education, special education, and classroom teacher. In addition, COES offers a number of higher general diploma programs on school administration, general education, special education, learning difficulties and teaching technology, The number of faculty members in the COES approaches (29)[6]

Deanship
Scientific Research and Graduate Studies
The Deanship of Academic Research and Graduate Studies began its rule at Tafila Technical University (TTU) since its establishment in 2005. The deanship efforts focus on implementing TTU policy in the fields of scientific research. In addition, the deanship manages TTU’s graduate scholarships recipients at different national and international universities.
In order to simplify working procedures, the deanship has started to activate the models adopted to support the scientific production of academic staff, which facilitates the procedures to receive the required financial and non-financial support for researchers and those who are interested. The deanship participates in both the Deans Council and Scientific Research Council at TTU through the dean. In addition, the deanship actively participates in the Higher Committee for Scientific Research. It also cooperates with the Conference Coordination and Supervision Committee at Jordanian Universities in order to document the conferences and seminars that are held at TTU.[7]

Tthe deanship works as a connecting point between the students and various TTU departments on the one hand, and local community institutions on the other hand.[8]

Centers
Computer & Information Technology Center (CITC)
This center was established around the end of 2006. The center maintains the university's network which uses a (Single Mode Fiber). All of the university buildings are connected to the LAN network and have access to the internet. In addition to that, the center maintains the wireless network that is available on campus. In addition to its technical role, the CITC holds regular computer courses for students, faculty members and the local community at large.[9]
Energy and Shale Center
This center was established in 2009 due to the awareness of the university of the importance of this center in the southern region where renewable energy and shale exist. These natural resources have motivated competent entities to establish a research centre that supports the exerted efforts in exploiting and making use of this richness. The current century has experienced the dangers of the depletion of energy. The huge rise of oil prices encouraged search for alternative sources of energy. Renewable energy has become an interest for the whole world due to its importance; and this encouraged countries to search for alternative resources of energy and power.[10]
Center of Faculty Performance Evaluation & Development
Community Partnership Center
The societal partnership center was established in 2007 with view at serving the local community for its focal role in establishing links of true partnership with its private and public sectors. This was also to achieve its goals represented by the development of the community through its various programs, training, research and study to meet the local needs in all fields and walks of life. This is done by expertise from the university and the local community who contribute to achieving comprehensive development and real partnership with the community.[11]
Language Center
This center offers language courses for university students. it offers courses in English, Arabic, and French. In addition to that, it offers Arabic courses for non-speakers. Faculty members from the College of Arts teach these courses.[12]
Research & Enterprise Office
REO stands for ‘Research & Enterprise Office’. It was founded in December 2014 by TTU. REO is funded by TEJ project that is coordinated by Princess Somaya University for Technology. TEJ stands for ‘Towards a university Enterprise alliance in Jordan’, which tends to build relations between universities and their socio-economic environment. REO provides advice and support to the Enterprise community. REO is able to help, find, secure and manage research funding, and commercialize your work. REO also coordinates research planning and manages REF submissions.[13]
