::Contrary to what Denniss states above (and in his edit comments), the direct source is given. No author was specified in the original publication, nor did any of the publishers to re-publish it after the war in a plethora of books consider it non-free. If Denniss disputes the PD rationale - he could change the license to fair use, though I doubt it would matter much, as even if the author was known, the copyright would most probably belong to the publisher of the Signal magazine, which was the Reichsministry of Propaganda, that has no modern copyright successors. Contrary to what Denniss states above (and in his edit comments), the direct source is given. //Halibutt 17:54, 1 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Copyright holder is the person who took the image and as he/she is unknown the image can't be PD. In Germany there is no copyright transfer from a person to an organisation. --Denniss 18:43, 1 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Uploaded by Rufus Sarsaparilla (notify | contribs). I uploaded this image. It was my dog and I paid money for the picture, but it ocurred to me that the professional photographer retained the copyright. I left it be until I was denied permission by the photographer so now unfortunately it has to come down.
