A recount on 5 September showed Guyula ahead by a paper-thin eight votes. The final result will not be known until the results are declared on 12 September. Lynne Michele Walker (born 19 June 1962) is an Australian politician. She is a Labor member of the Northern Territory Legislative Assembly, having held the seat of Nhulunbuy since the 2008 election.[1]
Walker has been an outspoken critic of the Country Liberals' government's management of the closure at the Rio Tinto aluminum refinery. The closure will likely result in hundreds of workers and families leaving the Nhulunbuy township.
