Paolo Petrocelli is a musicology graduate of University of Rome La Sapienza, Middlesex University of London and the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia. He is also a Yale University visiting fellow.[1]

Petrocelli is the Founder and the president of EMMA for Peace (Euro-Mediterranean Music Academy).[2][3] He is a member of the board of directors at Fondazione Accademia Musicale Chigiana and a member of the board of directors at Conservatorio di Musica Benedetto Marcello.[4] He is founder and former artistic director of The Spirit of British Music (a concert music series in Rome dedicated to British music) and former associate director at IMG Artists.[5]
From 2008 to 2011, he served as a committee member for the Working Group Youth at the European Music Council. In 2011 he served as UNESCO Youth Delegate for Italy and in 2012 was nominated by the British Council to represent Italy in the Cultural Leadership International Programme 2011-2012.[6][7][8]
In 2010, he published a book titled “The Resonance of a Small Voice: William Walton and the Violin Concerto in England between 1900 and 1940” (Cambridge Scholars Publishing).[9] He has also published several essays on the music of Sir William Walton.[10]
Paolo Petrocelli is a professor at LUISS Guido Carli University of Rome and IED Roma.[11]
He is also a director of the Master of Cultural Management at the Rome Business School[12] and visiting lecturer at Sole 24 Ore Business School.[13]
Personal life
Paolo was born in Rome, Italy. He attended the Liceo Classico Francesco Vivona High School in Rome. He still lives in Rome.
