Dr.Brenda E.F. Beck is and anthropologist and Tamil culture icon.[1] She lived in Olapalayam, near Kangayam for two year to do her doctorate in anthropology. She published her research book in the title of Peasant Society in Koňku
She is an Adjunct Professor in Anthropology department in the field of South Asian folklore.[2]
