Notable people of Afro-American descent

I've removed the gallery in the infobox per WP:NOETHNICGALLERIES but, in doing so, it came to my attention that there was an under-representation of Afro-Americans from Hispanic/Latin America, as well as Canada.

While there are copious "lists of African Americans" (as in those in the U.S.: as politicians, scientists, etc.), there's doesn't appear to be anything parallel for other parts of the Americas. Afro-American peoples of the Americas → African diaspora in the Americas – The current title is rather clunky, and potentially misleading. It is certainly not a likely search term. In common use, the descriptor "Afro-American" is restricted to inhabitants of the United States, rather than the Americas as a whole. The term "African diaspora", however, is unambiguous, and seems much more natural. IgnorantArmies (talk) 15:21, 26 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
