This page is no longer an Orphan. I found mentions of Lily Mae as a performer at Musikfest and Firefly Music Festival and linked them back to this page. Bbm (talk) 15:48, 1 October 2016 (UTC)
This page is no longer an Orphan. I found mentions of Lily Mae as a performer at Musikfest and Firefly Music Festival and linked them back to this page. Lily Mae has performed at Musikfest twice and Firefly Music Festival and Philadelphia Folk Festival one time each to date. There were no performer listings on the Philadelphia Folk Festival page, so I didn't see a way to link back from there. Bbm (talk) 15:48, 1 October 2016 (UTC)

I am personally referenced in this page about Lily Mae. I am her father and have worked with her as a producer/engineer on both of her CDs.

I have no connection, that I know of, with the author of this page. I don't know who created it.

I wanted to comment that I found this page to be thoroughly researched. I'm quite impressed with the level of detail that the author uncovered.

I agree that this article is a little premature in terms of Lily's status as an artist, though I can tell you that she is on the cusp of gaining the attention of significant media outlets with her upcoming release "Closer."

Whoever created this page clearly did a lot of work, I hate to see that work go for naught, but I'm not that familiar with how Wikipedia works. Is it possible for an article to be put on hold rather than deleted? In a matter of a few months Lily's status may change sufficiently that this article would be an appropriate posting.

Also, the mention that the article is an orphan is confusing to me. How would it have links to it if it didn't exist until just recently? We could link to the article from Lily's home page, but if the article is going to be deleted it doesn't make sense to do so. Also, the many articles (from real media outlets) that have been written about Lily that are referenced in this page do not link to this page simply because it didn't exist when those articles were written. I'm not sure how that would be fixed. Also, there is no guarantee when someone in the media covers Lily going forward that they would link to a Wikipedia page about her. If we were to ask them to link to her Wikipedia page wouldn't that be self serving in some way?

There's a certain chicken and egg thing with Wikipedia that makes it hard for me to understand how anything gets posted. It just sort of happens, right?

Anyway, my main purpose in writing was to thank the person who created this page for the work they did. I hope the page sticks around. :)

This page is no longer an Orphan. I found mentions of Lily Mae as a performer at Musikfest and Firefly Music Festival and linked them back to this page. There were no performer listings on the Philadelphia Folk Festival page, so I didn't see a way to link back from there. Bbm (talk) 15:48, 1 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
