Use of Islamic honorifics and terms such as "martyr"

Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Islam-related articles says that "Islamic honorifics should generally be omitted from articles (whether Arabic or English), except where they are part of quotations." The current version of the article uses uses Islamic honorifics - for examples: "Hazrat Ali (RA) and Imam Hussain (RA)."

Wikipedia also has a policy Neutral point of view. Referring to soldiers killed in action against the enemy as martyrs is not neutral point of view. Having said that, if sources used such language, then it is acceptable to use the word in a quotation.-- Toddy1 (talk) 22:21, 28 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

i dont think that writing a soldier who lost his life against designated international terrorists a martyr violates neutrality. I have read dozens of articles on wikipedia in which soldiers who lost their life in battle are mentioned as martyrs. anyway writing a soldier who lost his life against terrorists as a martyr doesnt offend anybody but writing him as killed will offend a lot of pakistanis and muslims. I dont know why you are so intent on making a change that will offend a lot and please none. if you are still steadfast upon erasing the word martyr then please remove it from all other hundreds of similar wikipedia articles(in which the word martyr or martyrdom is mentioned other than in quotation eg articles about catholic martyrs, revolutionary martyrs,Sikh gurus, gallantry award recipients of many countries eg India etc). then I will also change it on this article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AbdulQahaar (talk • contribs) 13:22, 29 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
