A British-born writer of adventure stories during the early twentieth century. His most famous book is King of the Khyber Rifles. Set in India under British Occupation, this novel is peripherally connected with his JimGrim series, which has mystically overtones and part of which is available over the web from theosophical sites.

He also wrote a number of stories about Tros of Samothrace, a Greek Freedom-Fighter who opposed Julius Caesar.
