Morgan Rice is a self-published author of fantasy and sci-fi novels,[1] who in 2011 stated she had no interest in pursuing traditional publishing for her young adult novels.[2]

In 2013 the first three books of her "Sorcerer's Ring" series were among the best-selling books for Amazon.com.[3] with "A Quest of Heroes" ranking eleventh, "A March of Kings" ranking fourteenth and "A Feast of Dragons" (actually "A Fate of Dragons") ranking seventeenth in the kids/teens/young-adults category.[4][5]

In 2015 she was included as part of the "Fierce" box set.[6]

In February 2016 four of her books were among the top 20 highest-selling American iBooks in the Sci-Fi/Fantasy categories.[7] In April "Rise of the Valiant" rose to 6th-highest,[8] dropping to the 20th-highest in May.[9]

For some of her book series she gives the first out for free.[10][11][12][13][14]
