Eugene Fallah Kparkar (born July 26, 1975) is the Liberian Representative for Lofa's 1st congressional district.He is a member of the Liberty Party.[1] He assumed office in January 2006.

Early life and Education

Hon. Kparkar was born in Foya District, Lofa county on to a mid -wife mother (Ma Betty)and a teacher father( Papa Joe) who are both deceased who taught him the virtues of humility and service to one's neighbor, a nature that has inhibited his life today. He attended primary school in Foya and Kolahun districts respectively in Lofa County. As a refugee in the early 90s, he partially did his secondary school education in Guinea and later came to Monrovia, Liberia's capital in 1997 where he graduated from the GW. Gibson High school with distinction. Being imbued with the quest of higher education, young Eugene matriculated to the university of Liberia, where he received a Bachelor's of science degree in Economics in 2005/06 and a Master's degree in International Relations with distinction.[2] Hon. Kparkar invigorated his insatiable desire for higher education again by enrolling at the Cuttington University where he got his second master's degree with distinction in Public Sector Management in 2015.

Political History and Public Service

During his days as an undergraguate student, young Eugene associated and became Chairman of the University of Liberia's main student based party, the Vanguard Student Unification Party (SUP) which saw his active participation in national politics in ernest. In 2005, young Eugene received thunderous of petitions and endorsements among students, youth groups and prominent citizens from Foya District to contest the Legislative seat which he won overwhelmingly.[3] Upon induction into office the following year, 2006 Hon. Kparkar was elected by his colleagues in the Liberian House of Representatives to represent the Legislature to the Pan African Parliament(South Africa). It is also important to note that from 2003 to 2005 he served as Administrative Assistant to Hon. Fayah SAHR Gbollie,member of the erstwhile National Legislative Assembly of Liberia where he received some prior knowledge on legislative workings.

In 2009, Hon. Kparkar was elected Regional Chairman of the Makona River Organization(MRO) then Makona River Union which sole aim was initiating and strengthening peace building efforts along the borders with Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia.

Currently, Hon. Kparkar chairs the Committee on Investment and Concessions in the House of Representatives. He also serves as Chairman of the Liberty Party Legislative Caucus in the Liberian Legislature. At the same time, Hon. Kparkar is Liberia's Head of Delegation to the Pan African Parliament (PAP ).

It is also worthy to note that Hon. Kparkar is a second term legislator, representing Electoral District # 1 and won with 70 percent of the votes in 2011 which translated into a commanding mandate of the electorate.[4]
