Episodes
1. Follow That Flour
Thomas arrives at the wharf, where the standard-gauge and narrow-gauge lines meet. He met James there, and was supposed to collect James' truck of flour. But Thomas bumps the flour truck hard, causing the door of the truck to break! Thomas tries to play hide-and-seek with it, but James kept finding him because the flour created a path along the track. Eventually, Thomas realized this, and must collect more flour - if there is any at the flour mill...
- Introducing Dusty Dave.
- Featuring Thomas, James, Troublesome Trucks, and Dusty Dave.
- Cameos by Skarloey, Rheneas, Sir Handel, Peter Sam, Rusty, and Duncan.
- First appearance of the wharf.
2. A Smooth Ride
Sir Handel returns to the narrow-gauge railway after being at the stone quarry all summer. He is taking some apples and he must be careful not to bruise them. But Sir Handel has a problem. He can't make it up the hill, being an old engine, and asks Peter Sam to help him. Hiding the fact that he isn't feeling well, he claims that he delivered the apples on his own. The same happens when he needs Duncan's help while taking some sheep. Sir Handel is doing a good job of keeping his secret - until he has to take Mr. and Mrs. Percival!
- Introducing Mrs. Percival, Mr. Percival's wife.
- Featuring Sir Handel, Peter Sam, Duncan (Non-speaking role), Mighty Mac (Non-speaking role), Mr. Percival, Mrs. Percival (Non-speaking role), and Thomas.
3. Thomas & The Jet Plane
As Thomas is on his way to collect the children for their picnic, he meets Jeremy, a new jet plane, at his hangar. Jeremy believes that being a jet plane is the best; even better than being a steam engine! Thomas worries that jet planes are generally better, and that being a steam engine is no good at all! But when Jeremy spots a storm on the way, they must relocate the picnic! Hopefully, Thomas will discover that being a steam engine has its benefits, too!
- Introducting Jeremy the Jet Plane.
- Featuring Thomas, Jeremy, The Fat Controller, Harold the Helicopter
4. Percy & The Carnival
The carnival was back on Sodor, and all of the engines, especially Percy, want to help out with it. Percy is disappointed when he has to deliver coal instead. He wanted an important job at the carnival, in comparison to just delivering coal! But then, the other engines run out of coal! Maybe coal delivery is an important job after all!
5. The Green Controller
Sir Topham Hatt has lost his voice so Lady Hatt gives Percy the job of handing out his instructions for the day. Percy has lots of things to remember. Thomas offers to help, but Percy is determined to do it on his own. Percy goes to see James, Gordon and Toby but gets things muddled up, giving his friends some very silly jobs! Disaster strikes when James, Gordon and Toby crash into each other – all thanks to Percy. Percy is very sorry and asks Thomas if he’ll help after all. Thomas is only too pleased to help his friend and together they retrace Percy’s tracks. Percy finally remembers the jobs that Lady Hatt has told him and Percy puts everything right. Sir Topham Hatt is very please with Percy. He has been really useful!
6. Duncan Drops a Clanger
It’s the country fair in the hills and Duncan is to take the bell from the clock tower to be specially polished. Duncan enjoys the sound the bell makes going over the bumpy tracks. He enjoys it so much that he doesn’t listen to the foreman’s instructions to go slowly. He doesn’t listen to anyone telling him to slow down, until disaster strikes and Duncan hits a dip in the track - the bell bounces off his flat-bed and down the hill. Duncan is horrified. In the quiet, he hears the bell chiming – it’s stuck in a tree. Duncan races to it, just in time for it to fall back on his flatbed. Slowly and carefully Duncan takes the bell to the polishers. At the fair, the shiny bell rings and Duncan thinks it’s the best sound in the whole world!
- Featuring Skarloey, Rheneas, Sir Handel, Peter Sam, Rusty, Duncan and Mighty Mac
