This was part of a series of edits I did in 2008 to try to map out per-country history of the agency in a more objective and comprehensive way. The stimulus was reading books of the Steve Coll genre. The effort didn't take off. I don't think anybody really cares about the topic in a long-term way, at least not as much as news about [[Joe the Plumber]]. New Page Review needs your help
Hi Yoshi24517,
As an AfC reviewer you're probably aware that a new user right has been created for patrolling new pages (you might even have been granted the right already, and admins have it automatically).
Since July there has been a very serious backlog at Special:NewPagesFeed of over 14,000 pages, by far the worst since 2011, and we need an all out drive to get this back down to just a few hundred that can be easily maintained in the future. Unlike AfC, these pages are already in mainspace, and the thought of what might be there is quite scary. There are also many good faith article creators who need a simple, gentle push to the Tea House or their pages converted to Draft rather than being deleted.
Although New Page Reviewing can occasionally be somewhat more challenging than AfC, the criteria for obtaining the right are roughly the same. The Page Curation tool is even easier to use than the Helper Script, so it's likely that most AfC reviewers already have more than enough knowledge for the task of New Page Review.
It is hoped that AfC reviewers will apply for this right at WP:PERM and lend a hand. You'll need to have read the page at WP:NPR and the new tutorial.

Split Movie Edit
Hi Yoshi,
I removed the piece on the movie Split about it being a "thematic sequel to Unbreakable" because that piece of information is incredibly revealing to the plot of the film. It is the very definition of a spoiler, and should not be on the page. Please remove that portion as I had earlier so that future moviegoers don't have the ending spoiled. I saw a screening the other night of the film and director M. Night Shyamalan spoke and he asked everyone to please keep that information a secret. So on behalf of him and everyone else involved with the movie, as well as diehard fans, I ask you to please remove any information from Split's page regarding it being a sequel to Unbreakable. I put that in my edit explanation and thought it was sufficient enough. People don't want the movie ruined for them. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.82.195.38 (talk) 19:45, 17 November 2016 (UTC)
- Hello and welcom to Wikipedia! Per WP:SPOILER, we do not remove spoilers from the encyclopedia. If you insist on removing spoilers. You will be blocked. Thank You. Yoshi24517Chat Online 20:21, 17 November 2016 (UTC)
Vandalism?
Hello, the band's full name which I added to the Lee Hazlewood-article is actually as I stated, containing the offensive word s*x in it. I'm sorry, it wouldn't be my choice of name, but it is as it is. If there is a policy here on Wikipedia to shorten it as Carter USM it should have been stated above the article on that group, or on the redirecting page Carter_usm&redirect=no, don't you think so? If censorship is the decision I'll have to obey to it.
Anyway: your accusation of vandalism has no solid ground whatever. I was trying to add a direct link instead of a redirection. 83.85.143.141 (talk) 20:33, 17 November 2016 (UTC) (from the Netherlands)
- @83.85.143.141: Hello and Welcome to Wikipedia! You made this edit, and the only thing you added was "Only the albums." That doesn't sound constructive. Yoshi24517Chat Online 20:44, 17 November 2016 (UTC)
Okay, that makes sense. It should mention it though, as Lee released also lots of singles, which actually I want to add in the next days. So this was no vandalism at all. It was an omission I was repairing. 83.85.143.141 (talk) 20:57, 17 November 2016 (UTC)
- @83.85.143.141: Here, how about I get a second opinion on this? Pinging Ritchie333 to get his input on this edit. Ritchie, do you think edit the IP made was constructive? See my 1st response for the edit. Yoshi24517Chat Online 21:02, 17 November 2016 (UTC)
I'm more thinking about a lack of patience on your side. Instead of punishing you could have explained your point of view, so we could have decided that I can have my time to add the singles and split the discography into an album and a singles section. You would be very glad about my proposal; instead I'm now very frustrated about your lack of confidence aka WP:AGF. 83.85.143.141 (talk) 21:35, 17 November 2016 (UTC)
- @83.85.143.141: If you want to add the singles and the discography, by all means, go for it. Just don't add the "Only the albums" part. That kind of makes it sound confusing. Go ahead and add the singles. Yoshi24517Chat Online 22:05, 17 November 2016 (UTC)
I don't have time enough anymore after two hours of useless quarelling. 83.85.143.141 (talk) 22:18, 17 November 2016 (UTC)
