September 2006 is the ninth month of 2006 and has begun on a Friday. It will end after 30 days, on a Saturday.

  • September 15 - UPN is expected to completely shutdown operations of the network in advance of the merger with The WB and the launch of The CW the next week. It is unknown what, if anything UPN will air to wrap up the network's operations. The date of the shutdown may also change, as this is the latest UPN can operate before the merger.
  • September 16 - Gem Bailey and Tom BomB (in a relationship) are going to meet for the first time.
  • September 17 - The WB finalizes complete shutdown of the broadcast network. It plans to end programming with 5 hours of the most memorable programing and image campaigns from the network's 11 year history one day before it merges with UPN to form The CW.

  • Per federal court injunction, the Bush Administration must by September 2006 either provide evidence for why the visa of Tariq Ramadan should be denied, or else must issue a visa for him.
