Nicolas Bacri

Dear Sir,

thank you for contacting me. Yes, I believe you made a mistake in not let me modify the bio about me. i am the composer and i would like to add some useful text to what already exist which is very poor. can you let me do this ? Thank you best wishes Nicolas Bacri — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.240.3.110 (talk) 10:42, 29 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

We have no way to verify that you are who you say you are. It may be true, but it may not be. Either way, you need to use legitimate sources and cite them like every one else. I recommend that you create an account, and familiarize yourself with Wikipedia policies. RSTech1 (talk) 10:46, 29 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Not only was the text which the IP claiming to be Nicolas Bacri has repeatedly inserted promotional and unreferenced, it is a copyright violation from nicolasbacri.net. Future attempts to restore it will be reverted immediately. Voceditenore (talk) 14:29, 30 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Good to know. Thank you. RSTech1 (talk) 14:40, 30 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Adriana Lima

"Added links to external sites that are not in the same language as the article"

I didn't know that it wasn't allowed since I've seen articles with "language=French", "language=Dutch" and so on many times before on the English Wikipedia. Besides, Google Translate it's useful and a lot of info can't be find in English language websites. They are not incorrect information as you stated. It's not possible to put it back? (201.1.101.201 (talk) 06:44, 30 November 2016 (UTC))[reply]

It needs to be of extraordinary value to the article, otherwise it will not be useful to the reader. Those links did not warrant having links in another language. It is necessary sometimes, but not in this case. Make sure you are writing good explanations in the comments to explain why you are making the edits. At least the one mentioning that her father is a carpenter can stay? there's nothing about it in English sources so far. (201.1.101.201 (talk) 07:25, 30 November 2016 (UTC))[reply]
Just doing a quick Google search, I found articles mentioning that. These are questions that are better posed for the article's talk page. Discuss with other editors, and come to consensus. It doesn't seem like notable fact to me, but others may disagree. Before you worry about that though, I really think you need to spend some time learning the basics. See the links I posted on your talk page in the Welcome section. Spend some time working through those. If you really want to make significant contributions, I recommend you create an account. The articles that you mentioned were from Bellazon and Just Jared? aren't they considered unreliable sources on Wikipedia? and they are exactly the translated version of the original article in portuguese that I posted. (201.1.101.201 (talk) 07:54, 30 November 2016 (UTC))[reply]
