This newspaper is a very censored paper in general. They tend to only write about the things that will make Deming seem better in the eyes of the people who live, and/or want to live here. For example, the 1999 middle school shooting, which had one fatality, was not reported by the Deming Headlight. Another instance is when the Deming police forced a man to have his anal cavity checked for drugs without his consent. The latest incident that the Deming Headlight failed to report was earlier this year when a sopohmore brought an unloaded gun to Deming High School. |
