Beit Achiqbash (AR: بيت أجقباش في الجديدة; Achikbache House) is an old Aleppine courtyard mansion built in 1757.[1] It is one of a number of historic buildings found in the Al-Jdayde Christian quarter of Aleppo.[2] The building was restored in 1980 and is known for the fine carved ornaments on its courtyard elevations.[3]
It is the home of the Popular Traditions Museum with its collection of fine decorations of Aleppine art and artefacts of past lives.[4] The building, like much of Aleppo's old city, has suffered catastrophic damage from fighting by combatant forces in Syria's civil war.[5][6]
