Michael Patterson (b. Memphis, Tennessee) is an American record producer and mixer. He has worked on the critically and commercially acclaimed albums Midnite Vultures [1] (1999) by Beck (where he was nominated for a Grammy award[2]), Life After Death [3] (1997) by Notorious B.I.G, the debut album by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, B.R.M.C. [4] (2001), and dark pop duo She Wants Revenge's first two albums, She Wants Revenge [5] and This Is Forever.[6]

He also mixed the soundtrack and score to The Social Network [7] and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo'.[8]

He has remixed such artists as Tricky,[9] Mindless Self Indulgence [10] and Puscifer [11] (under the name Narcovice). Patterson works out of his studio "The Gloryhole" in Los Angeles, California.[citation needed]

He also produced 17 songs for the 2007 Duran Duran album, Reportage.[citation needed] They were put aside following Andy Taylor's departure from the band; Duran Duran fansites have called this the "Lost Michael Patterson album".[12]

Patterson produced Spleen United Neanderthal (for which he was nominated for a Danish music critics award for best producer 2008).[13]

In 2012 he co-produced and mixed American psychedelic rock band Heavy Glow's second album together with Nic Jodoin.[14]
