Adrienn Zsédenyi (born 30 December 1974), better known by her stage name Zséda, is a Fonogram and EMeRTon award-winning Hungarian singer. She is one of Hungarian pop music's most successful rapporteurs.

Life

Raised in Szentes, Zséda attended Mihály Horváth Secondary School and participated in drama and literature groups. At 15 years of age, she studied singing from her teacher, Olga Sík, and acted at John Golden Theatre, Independent Theatre, Chalk Circle Theatre, and New Theatre. He studied the violin for seven years and under the artistic career of the University of West Hungary earned a degree as a social pedagogue.

Music career

Cotton Club Singers (1994–2001)

In 1994, Zséda, Gabi Szűcs, Péter Kovács, and Boldizsár László co-founded the Cotton Club Singers. They performed at, inter alia, the Buda Park Stage and the Budapest Congress Center. Zséda appeared in five albums in six years. She left in 2001 (the band eventually disbanded in 2009) and subsequently formed White Chocolate, along with pursuing a solo career in addition to the band name.

Solo career (2002–present)

Zséda left the band in 2001 and has since been pursuing a solo career. She performed at Washington D.C. as part of the Hungarian delegation represented at the Folger Shakespeare Library in an organized show with Mihály Tabányi. Her debut solo album was released in 2002, which was produced by Viktor Rakonczai, with whom Zséda was an acquaintance of Kőbánya Music Studio. The album reached gold record certification. One of the most successful song of the album and also the first major successes of her is Valahol egy férfi vár, which had been led by three weeks at the VIVA TV charts.

In 2003, she sang the theme song to the RTL Klub soap opera Szeress most!. This figure was a huge breakthrough and brought her to nationwide notoriety. He topped the list of VIVA Chart for three weeks. In 2004, she published her second album, Zséda-Vue. The album also produced several successful singles, including Motel, Mindhalálig mellettem vagy, and Újhold. This was her first album that reached platinum certification. In 2005, his first Christmas album A szürke patás, which also reached platinum certification. The video clip of the album was popular and is still a popular Christmas song in Hungary.

In 2007, Zséda and Ákos Létray recorded, as a duet, Valahol. The song was a VIVA TV hit. It was on the charts for 40 weeks on the MAHASZ Top 40 radio charts, perhaps her biggest success so far. In 2008, her fourth album, Rouge, was released. The album's first single, Fekete rúzs, was another VIVA TV hit, reaching the top spot on the list. A concert on the Papp László Budapest Sports Arena on 28 May 2009 was sold-out. The show was a cross-section of her nearly 15-year career, with all her big hits and favorite songs were heard in the arena and singles from her latest album.

In 2011, her fifth album, Legyen úgy, was released and became a bestseller, along with Más világ, and later her fifth studio album, titled Ötödik érzék, in 2012. In 2013, she appeared in the song Dance, and later, released Hétköznapi mennyország, followed by Hány percet élsz in 2014. She then collaborated with Csaba Vastag with the song Legyél a másé in 2015. In 2016, she released Óceán and Adj még levegőt.

In 2016, she became a judge on A Dal, the national selection for Hungary for the Eurovision Song Contest. She judged the 2016 edition and will judge the 2017 edition.

Personal life

In 2000, Zséda married Szabolcs Takács, a research associate at a pharmaceutical distribution company and a Semmelweis University graduate. On 27 September, 2007, their first child, Nimród, was born.

She also has taken part in the Fight against Breast Cancer Campaign and Together for Nature campaign, and a supporter of the Uniting Against Domestic Violence campaign.
