Tim Blanchard Racing is a Australian motor racing team, that will compete in the Australian Supercars Championship in 2017.

History

Blanchard will again be sponsored by family business Cooldrive.

Tim Blanchard Racing was conceived in the end 2016 by Tim Blanchard with the aim of continuing in the Supercars Championship for years to come, even if its not from the drivers seat.[1] So following the purchase of formerly Super Black owned Racing Entitlements Contract Blanchard confirmed that he would continue racing out of the Brad Jones Racing, under his own REC rather than under Britek Motorsport.[2]

Customer team

Brad Jones Racing

In the end of 2016 it was confirmed that Jason Bright was leaving Brad Jones Racing to join Prodrive Racing Australia,[3] He took with him his REC that Tim had been running for the 2016 Season. Which meant that for Tim Blanchard to remain in the series he would have to purchase a Racing Entitlements Contract, for which Blanchard and his family eventually bought off Super Black Racing. Tim wanted to remain with Brad Jones Racing and have the same customer team setup as they did when Britek Motorsport was run under the team.
