Moneyfacts.co.uk is a personal finance website which offers comparisons products available from various banks, mortgage providers and insurance companies.[3] In 2015 the company had 98 employees[2] and a turnover over £571,000.[1] The website is part of the Moneyfacts Group.[4]

History

Moneyfacts.co.uk was launched in October 2000 as an extension of Moneyfacts Group, a financial services company based in the UK which publishes independent financial information.[5] Its primary function was to provide a series of 'best buy charts' that gave comparisons between various products and services being offered by banks.[6] Moneyfacts.co.uk's business model relies on banks and other providers purchasing a link next to their listing on a chart.[7]

Financial news

In May 2005 moneyfacts.co.uk began publishing news articles to answer common financial questions.[8] Moneyfacts' articles have been cited by outlets including The Daily Mail,[9] The Telegraph,[10][11] The Independent,[12] The Guardian[13] and The Financial Times.[14]
