Revision as of 22:05, 12 February 2017

After some repair work to the Lourdes page I was invited to register by user:Sefringle, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:69.253.102.193

so my trackrecord includes all past entries made with that IP address and those made recently with http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/71.230.249.175 such as 6 June 2007 expansion to Nicholas of Flüe of prayer from CCC, and addition of "On the debasement of money" to Juan de Mariana the Spanish School of Salamanca scholastic

I am happy to discuss my Wikipediantics (its a hobby, a weakness I indulge, I hope I'm not too pedantic) MrsKrishan 22:21, 6 June 2007 (UTC). A favorite pastime is casual curiousity regarding Slavic etymologies rooted in archaic protoindoEuropean tongues, in particular that of my husband's patrilinear heritage in Romania.[reply]

  • enhanced Kur page to hotlink to online copy of Samuel Noah Kramer's "Sumerian Mythology" [1944, 1961] expounding on the mythical Kur, the first ever dragon, associated with the Zagros mountains to the east of Sumer. The cuneiform for "kur" was written ideographically with the cuneiform sign 𒆳, a pictograph of a mountain.
The Sumerians were a non-Semitic, non-Indo-European people who lived in southern Babylonia from 4000-3000 B.C.E. They invented cunieform writing, and their spiritual beliefs influenced all successive Near Eastern religions, including Judaism, Christianity and Islam. They produced an extensive body of literature, among the oldest in the world. Samuel Noah Kramer spent most of his life studying this literature, by piecing together clay tablets in far-flung museums. This short work gives translations or summaries of the most important Sumerian myths."

Did you mean Arabic or Aramaic? Aramaic (Syriac) is also read right to left, and is the language used in prayer, I think.

Edit warring notice

Your recent editing history at Rush Limbaugh–Sandra Fluke controversy shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. AV3000 (talk) 00:29, 12 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. The next time you violate Wikipedia's no original research policy by inserting unpublished information or your personal analysis into an article, as you did at Rush Limbaugh–Sandra Fluke controversy, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Perichoresis

I am working on this article which in my opinion has multiple problems and will be tagged as such. One of them affects you in that you have made substantial contributions to sections which seem to be off topic: most of the Etymology section has little of nothing to do with etymology; the section Human body as icon of the communio personarum is really a separate article which goes far beyond perichoresis. (It may even be two articles.) Jpacobb (talk) 17:51, 16 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Pope Francis

I agree with the deletion of most of material you added about the Pallottine martyrs.

I took your original material, which had a lot that told us nothing about Francis, and put some of it in a note and moved it to what I believe is the appropriate location. Promoting the beatification process is what Francis has done. Your information really wasn't about his relationship with the government.

Disagree on what is meant by "relationship" - you seem to wish to reduce it to temporal secular POV, a ludicrous proposition since the man is ordained to holy orders so he's not merely a politician or NGO activist, he's concerned with eternal permanent values such as beauty, goodness and preeminently, the truth which unites in peaceful trust or lack thereof which sows discord that can lead down the path to the sort of coercion and violence perpetrated by govt authorities on the Argentine people.MrsKrishan (talk) 18:01, 22 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You then added even more material that has nothing to do with Francis, which has since been deleted as not relevant to Francis. The Pope Francis entry is a biography and we have to be careful how much we include that isn't about him.

Cowardly use of passive voice "has been deleted" doesn't absolve you of having an opinion on the relevance of spiritual material to a spiritual man and who gets to decide the merits of same. Let's seek consensus here on that topic first: is martyrdom a relevant topic or not? Then, perhaps discuss "Is it relevant that the man who now holds the keys to five matrydoms was present, participated in the events surrounding their sacrificial deaths and promoted their cause?" I think YES and YES perhaps you do not?MrsKrishan (talk) 18:01, 22 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I added some information on San Patricio Church massacre and a little on Pallottines. Perhaps you can add info there. Bmclaughlin9 (talk) 17:27, 22 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'm rather befuddled by this focus on 'material facts' that supposedly must be "telling us something about Francis" as if events in his life were just political or historical coincidences, when quite obviously they are not, they are of immense spiritual value, a POV that belongs in an article on a spirital personage elevated to the highest office (in a Catholic understanding, which I can't assume (talk) or (talk) shares, Pope Francis has the power of the keys, to elevate these murder victims to saints or lock them out as one of a number of usual victims of the tyranny of relativism/dictatorship of ideology such as aborted babies etc.). Will attempt a third undo/modification, then may have to seek WP:DRN to open up the parsing of what "value" means to other religiously-minded editorsMrsKrishan (talk) 17:43, 22 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for your disruption caused by edit warring and violation of the three-revert rule at Pope Francis. During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Sunday is a day of rest, so offering up the block set to expire: 16:12, 24 March 2013 for Pope's intentions Praying for all wikipedia editors. Eager to add WSJ article on Pope's attitude to an active laity, see Kakure_Kirishitan under Pope Francis#Creative transformation in evangelization and A Japanese Lesson (About China for the Pope Beijing fears Catholicism because of the universality of its teachings.)MrsKrishan (talk) 16:21, 24 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Footnote re: ⎇ (key lock symbol used in my block appeal below) Forgive the pun, no disrespect intented, Catholic doctrine teaches that the Holy Spirit confrims who will holds the keys. As in chess, a King's ♔ might outranks a Bishop's ♝ right, but that doesn't reduce him to a powerless pawn ♙ either. Can we agree we use symbols because they communicate meaning? E.g.
  • labor ⚒
  • liberty of the sea ⚓
  • military force ⚔
  • jurisprudence ⚖
  • gender ⚤

{{unblock|1= Understand re:3 revert rule, query as to definition of when "revert"s start counting as reverts? Removal of new material IMHO is also a 'revert' and prevents development of subject on topic (see Chicago Tribune 'ref' under Cardinal, towit I apply this quote in my defence: "The decision by Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio carries political as well as spiritual significance.") >> 3 Relations with Argentine governments >> 3.1 Dirty War. KEY⎇ significance here is Fr. Bergoglio's relationship to Fr. Kelly (for info on spiritual direction, see my comments at Talk:Pope_Francis#Relevant_Information_Deleted._Why.3F.3F.3F }}

This block has expired. Kuru (talk) 22:56, 24 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Despite all the pretty symbols (no sarcasm intended), I'm having trouble following your unblock request. I'll respond to the only thing I think I understand: removing new material from an article, unless it's exempted, counts as a revert.--Bbb23 (talk) 17:00, 24 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Icon corner, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Krasna (..del..) Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 18:56, 9 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Linking to the disambiguation page was intentional and should remain, to indicate the root meaning associated with placenames in slavic languages. Thx. MrsKrishan (talk) 23:39, 10 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Igbo culture may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Salim, Nablus, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Genesis (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Thx, affirm disambiguation page linking to whole range of related terms known as Castelnau is intentional. In making an etymological link across language families no drilling down to a specific, narrower toponym or onomastico is necessary MrsKrishan (talk) 15:40, 5 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Edits to [Derzalas]

After reading a

tag appended by User:Ogress, I continued to refine and expand the contribution I was in the process of making, adding an entry to the talk page explaining my reasoning. Shortly thereafter, a wholesale revert by User:Ogress (-13,437)‎ for Uncited, WP:FRINGE, bad cites. (TW) scrubbed all new material for no good reason. Opened discussion re: advisability for factual feasibility on both topic- and moderator- talk pages, awaiting reply MrsKrishan (talk) 08:35, 5 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I think I agree with Ogress that there were too many problems with the material you added to be allowed to stand. Most of it was unsourced and seemed highly speculative. Especially the etymological information seemed problematic to me. I think if you want to add parts of it back, you should make sure only to add parts that can be sourced to good sources. Note that the entire information needs to be sourced, it is not enough to source parts of it and then let the reader make the connection - that is in conflict with our policies on synthesis.·maunus · snunɐɯ· 07:25, 6 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for tips, further discussion under User_talk:Maunus#Problem_editor MrsKrishan (talk) 14:30, 6 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
On my page, you wrote: "The linguistic connections are no mere tenuous supposition on my part: Edessa in Syria is derived from Odessa in Macedonia, Perso-Hellenized cultic practices replacing more ancient Semitic cults associated with Abrahamic montheism in Muslim tradition, see present day Sanliurfa. I appreciate you making time for discussion and working to keep Wikipedia the great resource for advancing human understanding and promoting peace."
First, Odessa was founded in 1794, Ἔδεσσα is an Ancient Greek name dating back to classical antiquity. What do you mean "Edessa in Syria is derived from Odessa in Macedonia"? This is exactly the kind of statement that makes me feel like you are not here to build an encyclopedia. Ogress 22:01, 7 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Institute of the Incarnate Word "Disputed article" Assistance Request

My comments: see updated sources cited under News on [Talk page] including Argentine press conference making first public acknowledgment of Father Buela's moral and governance failings. Will contribute a new subsegment to "Controversies" as and when necessary, should other frequent contributors such as User:Jordi be unable to assert themselves against censorship by vested interests, taking a 12-day break to celebrate the Incarnate Word's birthday on Christmas MrsKrishan (talk) 07:09, 22 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
