Bernard Bergonzi

I received the date of the death of Bernard Bergonzi from his son , Ben and I looked to see if there was any info in Wikipedia, so I updated him with his date of decease, not knowing the protocol — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.64.200.130 (talk) 14:24, 23 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Quite alright. I'm keeping and eye out for obituaries and death notices. I don't have a Wikipedia page but if I did I would want people to be careful before they listed me as deceased. GcSwRhIc (talk) 15:03, 23 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Ric Ocasek

I don't know how to add these reliable sources. Maybe you can show me. If you want proof of what I'm saying about Ric, I can provide it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Darkjediknightmare (talkcontribs) 22:01, 23 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Darkjediknightmare: If you have reliable source info, then add it after the date with <ref> </ref> tags. Formatting the reference would be great but a another user can do that. Remember you are changing a birth date on a living person, and you should be cautious in using any primary sources: "Exercise extreme caution in using primary sources. Do not use trial transcripts and other court records, or other public documents, to support assertions about a living person. Do not use public records that include personal details, such as date of birth, home value, traffic citations, vehicle registrations, and home or business addresses."
