Altaír Jarabo (born Altaír Jarabo García on August 7, 1986, in Mexico City, Mexico) is a Mexican actress and fashion model. Best known for co-starring in antagonistic roles in Mexican telenovelas such as Súbete A Mi Moto (2002), Inocente de Ti (2004), Código Postal (2006), Pecados Ajenos (2007), Al Diablo con los Guapos (2007), En Nombre del Amor (2008), Mi pecado (2009), Llena de amor (2010), Abismo de pasión (2012) and Mentir para vivir (2013) and recently Que te perdone Dios (2015).[1] She has a brother named Jorge Jarabo Garcia.[2]
Career
Already well known as a fashion model in Mexico, Jarabo debuted in 1993 in El Peñón del Amaranto as Amaranta. In 2002 she appeared in the telenovela Súbete A Mi Moto with Vanessa Acosta and Sandra Echeverría.
She became popular worldwide portraying Isela in 2004 the telenovela Inocente de Tí, co-starring Camila Sodi, Valentino Lanús, and Helena Rojo. In 2005, she appeared in the telenovela El Amor No Tiene Precio as Vanessa.
Jarabo portrayed Afrodita Carvajal in a 2006 telenovela for teenagers Código Postal. It was kind of remix of a famous television series Beverly Hills, 90210 and Baywatch. Although it was successful worldwide, it was not so successful in Mexico.
In 2007, the audience saw her as Catherine in Lola...Érase una vez. Melissa in Pecados Ajenos. and Valeria in Al Diablo con los Guapos. She appeared on Premios TVyNovelas 2008 event. That same year, she appeared as Romina in En Nombre del Amor, then in 2009 she replaced Vannya Valencia as Lorena Mendizabal in the second antagonist/ villain role in Mi Pecado. Her most recent telenovela is Llena de amor, in which she is the main co-protagonist. In 2012, she returned as the antagonist, starring as Florencia Landucci, an Italian boarding-school student in Abismo de pasion. She will star as Raquel Ledesma, alongside the protagonist in Rosy Ocampo's new telenovela Mentir para vivir.[3][4]
In 2015, She appeared the seventh antagonist role (main antagonist) as Diana Montero in Angelli Nesma Medina's new telenovelas Que te perdone Dios, alongside the main villainous Sergio Goyri and Sabine Moussier and alongside the main protagonists (first actress) Rebecca Jones, Zuria Vega and Mark Tacher.
