Rajisha Vijayan is an actress in Malayalam Cinema. She made her acting debut in Anuraga Karikkin Vellam. She has hosted several shows in Malayalam television before foraying into films. She won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress 2016 for the film Anuraga Karikkin Vellam[1].
Early life
Rajisha was born in Kozhikode,Kerala, India as the daughter of Sheela and Vijayan.[citation needed] Rajisha Vijayan completed her graduation In Mass Communication and Journalism at Amity University Noida, New Delhi. Apart from being a trained classical dancer, she kept high interest in theatre and athletics. She started working in Surya TV and later in Mazhavil Manorama as a television host.
Career
Television host
Rajisha was very popular among the television spectators through her shows. She was one of the most favourite VJ who hosted shows like 100% Love, Manasinikkare (travelogue), Ladies Only, and Surya Challenge. She also hosted Susi’s Code, a youth-centric programme and a music chat show which has gained popularity among the young generation.
As the show is being shot at various locations outside, it gives a different experience. She won the hearts of the TV viewers through her exceptional anchoring Ugram Ujwalam, a talent show aired on Mazhavil Manorama.[citation needed]
2016–present
Rajisha debuted in the Malayalam Film Anuraga Karikkin Vellam. Later, she signed the movie Georgettan's Pooram along side Dileep which is anticipated to release on March 30, 2017. Her next venture is Oru Cinemakaaran[2] starring Vineeth Sreenivasan. She was adjudged the best actress in state in 2016 for her role in Anuraga Karikkin Vellam.
