The American Journal of Managed Care,or AJMC, is a monthly peer-reviewed MEDLINE/PubMed[1] indexed medical journal owned by Michael J. Hennessy Associates, Inc. The journal is considered part of the 'payer' offerings of the healthcare communications company.[2] In 2009 it had an impact factor of 2.74.[3] Some months, issues of the journal are accompanied by separately paged supplements.[1]

AJMC also includes other publication series including The American Journal of Accountable Care, and two evidence-based series Evidence-Based Oncology and Evidence-Based Diabetes Management.[4] It hosts a weekly YouTube video series called "This week in managed care".[5]

The journal has an ACO Coalition of which ACOs can gain membership.[6] It also is the host of a live event called the ACO & Emerging Healthcare Delivery Coalition meeting which discusses best practices and strategies for care management and allows participants to gain an understanding about developing successful ACOs.[7]

It has partnered with multiple advocacy groups including the Partnership to Fight Chronic Disease[8] and Patient Access Network.[9]

AJMC sub-brands are:

AJMC TV[10]

AJMC Peer Exchange[11]

AJMC Managed Care Cast[12]
