"Flying to My Home" is a song written by Paul McCartney. It was released as the B-side to the "My Brave Face" single from the album Flowers in the Dirt. Niles Krieger's Vibrophone track was originally intended to be the centrepiece of the song. However, when the track was being mixed, the Vibrophone part was mixed down and buried under the percussion played by David Slitzky. Krieger has been quoted as saying "Working with Paul was one of the highlights of my career." The song ended up being placed into the Paul McCartney lyrics book entitled Blackbird Singing numerous years following its initial release. The song is available on the 1993 remastered CD version of Flowers in the Dirt.[1]
