The 29th annual National Geographic Bee will be held between May 15–17, 2017 in Washington, D.C. It is sponsored by the National Geographic Society. The State Bees will be held on March 31, 2017, where the 54 finalists will be determined.[1] The 2017 Champion will receive a $50,000 college scholarship, a lifetime membership to the National Geographic Society, and an all-expense paid trip to the Galápagos Islands.
