:Hi Marchjuly. Thanks for pointing that out, I have updated the file description page accordingly. I see that you deleted the "2" variant of the Spiceworks logo which I uploaded. If you could assist me, that would be great. I've attempted to original logo [[:File:Spiceworks logo.png]], however, through my own inexperience or ignorance, I have not been successful. The logo reverts to the previous logo and doesn't allow me to overwrite it. Any advice? |

Recent changes
- New filters for recent changes are now available as a beta feature on most wikis. You can turn it on in your preferences. Remaining wikis will have the new filters on 9 May. [1]
- When administrators, bureaucrats and stewards make a user a member of a user group they can now set an expiry date. A user group is for example "administrators" or "bots". This means that they can give someone user rights for a limited time. This is similar to how blocks and page protections can be limited in time. Special:UserRights will have new options for this. You can read more about user groups. [2]
Problems
- Since the data centre test last week the content translation tool has been disabled. This is because of a database problem. It will be back as soon as the problem has been solved. [3]
Changes this week
- The GuidedTour extension will be enabled on all wikis. This is a tool to explain to new users how to edit. [4]
- Wiktionary will handle interlanguage links in a new way. The Cognate extension will automatically link pages with the same title between Wiktionaries. For this to work all old interlanguage links have to be removed. You can read more about this. [5]
- The new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 25 April. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 26 April. It will be on all wikis from 27 April (calendar).
Meetings
- You can join the next meeting with the VisualEditor team. During the meeting, you can tell developers which bugs you think are the most important. The meeting will be on 25 April at 19:00 (UTC). See how to join.

You marked File:Johannes nobel.jpg for deletion with the edit summary "per CSD F6 (no fair use rationale)." However, a fair use rationale was given: "Low resolution picture of a deceased person; needed to illustrate the biography of Johannes Nobel, no free alternative available. Source: https://www.uni-marburg.de/fb10/iksl/indologie/fachgebiet/geschichte." JimRenge (talk) 20:58, 28 April 2017 (UTC)
- Hi JimRenge. Thanks for clarifying, I have updated the file description page to make that more obvious. Regards, FASTILY 21:08, 28 April 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks. JimRenge (talk) 21:10, 28 April 2017 (UTC)
Can you please un-delete the file? I will fix the licence very soon, but it needs to be un-deleted first. Thanks.--Taeyebar 00:15, 29 April 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Taeyebar. Please change the license ASAP. I have tagged the file as missing license in the meantime. Please note that all files uploaded to Wikipedia *must* allow derivatives and non-commercial use, or else they will be promptly removed. -FASTILY 00:49, 29 April 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks. I fixed it. If this is the wrong template I added, please add the right one. Have a nice day.--Taeyebar 19:23, 29 April 2017 (UTC)
Hi Fastily. I appreciate you cleaning up/adding non-free use rationales for File:MSU Bronze Sparty 2.jpg, but there are two things I think sitll need to be resolved. The first things is that I don't think the sources is Fuzzy510. Fuzzy510 uploaded the latest version, but the orginal was uploaded by Jeffness. The second thing has to do with the copyright status of the photo itself as explained at User talk:Marchjuly#Sparty image. A non-free use rationale can be provided for the statue, but a photograph cannot be licensed as non-free since pretty much anyone can a photo of the statue and release under a free license. I've asked the uploader about this, so hopefully they will respond. -- Marchjuly (talk) 02:08, 30 April 2017 (UTC)
