Jakarta

Hello there, and welcome to Wikipedia!

I noticed your recent contributions to the Jakarta page. Please do not remove the pronunciation guide as it is useful to the international readers. Also, please read on our consensus on what constitutes a minor edit, and please do try to write as professionally as possible (regarding style, grammar, punctuation rules, etc.). Remember that your contributions are visible for the whole world to read. Anyway, thanks for your contributions! cepheid feline treat (meow!) 06:16, 19 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright problem icon Your addition to Jakarta has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material, including text or images from print publications or from other websites, without an appropriate and verifiable license. All such contributions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Davidelit (Talk) 03:15, 24 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that you removed some content from Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Edit summaries

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! --HyperGaruda (talk) 13:27, 2 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please explain your contributions using an edit summary. Changing information on Wikipedia (such as numbers and dates) without explanation may be confused with vandalism. Thank you. --HyperGaruda (talk) 05:24, 4 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

January 2017

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Jakarta. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism can result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. XboxGamer22408 (talk) 00:42, 4 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove content, templates, or other materials to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Jakarta, you may be blocked from editing. Adam9007 (talk) 00:51, 4 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you blank out or remove content from Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Jakarta. --Non-Dropframe talk 01:00, 4 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon This is your final warning; if you remove or blank page contents or templates from Wikipedia again, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. XboxGamer22408 (talk) 02:05, 4 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to move content around, it's better to do it in one edit instead of removing, saving, then readding and saving. Otherwise people see you removing stuff, and don't know you're planning on readding it again soon. Κσυπ Cyp   09:34, 4 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm XboxGamer22408. An edit that you recently made to Jakarta seemed to be a test and has been removed. If you want more practice editing, please use the sandbox. If you think a mistake was made, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! XboxGamer22408 (talk) 03:04, 12 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Will you please stop using ampersands (&) in regular text! Per WP:&, use "and" instead. Also, start adding edit summaries. This is the third time I have ask you this, yet you still refuse to do so. Can you hear me, or do I have to question your competence? --HyperGaruda (talk) 05:26, 12 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Again, read my comment above: stop using "&", start using "and", add edit summaries! --HyperGaruda (talk) 06:05, 2 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Soekarno–Hatta International Airport Terminal 3, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Skytrain (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Copying within Wikipedia requires proper attribution

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Soekarno–Hatta International Airport into Soekarno–Hatta International Airport Terminal 3. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was moved, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 21:01, 3 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Port of Tanjung Priok, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Batavia (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Control copyright icon Hello M R Karim Reza. All or some of your addition(s) to Port of Tanjung Priok have been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 13:34, 27 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
