==Filmography==
The most remarkable feature of career of Sushama Shiromanee was that most of her 1970s and 1980s hits were fueled by her own star power as much as the heroes and most of the times her role was more powerful than the hero. Though she was pitted opposite her seniors like Asis Kumar, Ashok Saraf, Jeevan, Sahu Modak, she made sure her role was as good as theirs. The characters she played stood out and gave her recognition for her performances.

Sushama has worked tirelessly, selflessly and without any remuneration for Indian Motion Pictures Producers Association for nearly 27 years. During this period she has assisted a lot of Producers with their difficulties. Through the support, love and affection, of people around her she has been able to surmount tremendous barriers in accomplishing a number of difficult and daunting tasks for IMPPA and for the benefit of it’s members. In turn she has won the respect and admiration from Film personnel throughout India and abroad. She has done a lot for the Indian Cinema and has achieved a lot for the Film Industry as a whole. She has led delegations to the President of India (Ms Pratibha Patil) ; Prime Minister of Fiji (Mr.Frank Bainimarama); had the guts to question the current Prime Minister of India (Mr. Narendra Modi) when he forgot to mention the revenue generated by the Film Industry of India and the employment opportunities created by the Film Makers in his speech.

Sushama also stood toe to toe alone with one of the underworld gangsters and had full justice done to her by the Police and other prominent people of India after she reported the matter to them. The gangster had also offered her bribes with instructions that she should not stand for elections for the position of President of IMPPA. This was sheer courage demonstrated by Sushama Shiromanee whose life was under threat.

Sushama Shiromanee has also been involved in social, charitable and community work and either through her contacts or by herself, she has provided assistance, advise, and support to a lot of people around India without publicising her activities and without any remuneration.
