White Slavery

A book I'm currently reading (Broken: The Troubled Past and Uncertain Future of the FBI) states that despite a lot of hubaloo about white slavery at the date of the FBI's inception, there really wasn't any merit to it; the "shadowy bosses" simply didn't exist, and no media reporters were able to uncover large rings. I think that allegations of white slavery need to be labeled as having no shown basis in fact, unless somebody can demonstrate that it actually happened in this country. --Edwin Herdman 04:33, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Edwin is correct. It was an attempt to put Jake in prison but there was absolutely no evidence. It is also untrue that Jake Guzik's only living relative is Marion.
